INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONSM8 NutM8 x 20 Screw1. Take the chair frame out of the boxand lay it on a clean floorM8 x 40 Screw2. Attach the back and seat cushionstogether using the nut and bolt asshown. The massage unit willstart with a 30 minute massage programme which automatically alters theMC003 Owners Handbook (Z50093)Page 4 of 8

massage mode every minute. Press the ON / OFF key again to switch off theunit. Press the HEAT key to switch the heat function on. The HEAT lamp will belit when this function is on. Switch the HEAT key again to switch the heatfunction off. To adjust the time which the massage unit will run for (shown by the TIMEdisplay) press the TIMER key. The time will then increase up to a maximumof 99 minutes, after which pressing the TIMER key will reset the time to 1minute. Press the AUTO key to switch the automatic mode cycle function off, whichstops the unit from changing massage mode every minute. Press the AUTOkey to switch on the automatic mode cycle function. The AUTO lamp is litwhen the automatic mode cycle function is on. Press one of the MODE keys to move up or move down a massage mode. Thecurrent massage mode is shown by one of the ten FUNCTION lamps beingilluminated. Press the INTENSITY key to increase the intensity of the massage vibrations.After pressing the key, the new intensity will be shown momentarily byilluminating a number of the FUNCTION lamps (the number lit depends onthe intensity). Once the intensity is at maximum, pressing the key again willreset the intensity to it’s lowest level. Press the HOLD key to lock the head massage in it’s current state. Press thekey again to release the lock.CARE AND MAINTENANCE Storage:o Keep the massage chair dry and clean. Use a dustsheet to protect themassage chair if it will not be used for a long period.o Do not expose the chair to strong sunlight or high temperatures, as thiscould cause the leather to fade.o When not in use, switch the massage unit off and disconnect from themains.o Do not put any heavy articles on to the armrest or footstool as this coulddamage the armchair and/or cause it to become unstable.MC003 Owners Handbook (Z50093)Page 5 of 8

Cleaningo Do not rub the surface of the chair with hard or coarse objects.o The wooden parts of the chair may be cleaned with a duster or dry cloth.Polish should not be used as this can cause abrasion of the wood.o Use a damp cloth with mild detergent to clean the leather upholstery andsteel frame. Then wipe with a dry cloth. TROUBLESHOOTINGConsult the following if the armchair malfunctions or cannot be used. WARRANTYYour Restwell massage armchair comes with a comprehensive twelve-month warranty.For warranty issues and claims please contact your Medicare Technology dealer. Thewarranty conditions are below:1.2.3.4.5.6.7.8.Any work or replacement part installation must be carried out by an authorisedMedicare Technology dealer / service agent.To apply the warranty should your armchair require attention please contact the yourMedicare Technology dealer / service agent.Should any part of the armchair require repair or full or part replacement as a result ofa manufacturing or material defect within twelve months of receiving the armchair,parts will be supplied free of charge.Note:The guarantee is not transferableAny repaired or replaced parts will be covered by this warranty for the balance of thewarranty period on the armchair.Parts replaced after the original warranty has expired will be covered by a threemonth warranty.Consumable items supplied will not generally be covered during the normal warrantyperiod unless such items require repair or replacement clearly as a direct result of amanufacturing or material defect.Such items include (among others):upholstery, batteriesThe above warranty conditions apply to brand new chairs. Chairs supplied assecondhand by Medicare Technology generally carry a six-month warranty.
