IntroductionKoinonia Bible College is an exciting new concept in higherChristian education. Our goal is to provide training in the ministryby offering a wide selection of courses designed to prepare thestudent for practical Christian service. Our approach to education isunique in that we offer the students the skills of pastors and teachers from many different churches. Inthis way, the student can remain in his or her local body and still be exposed to the gifts of a widevariety of experienced ministers. Our instructors are carefully selected for their area of expertise as well as their spiritual commitment andknowledge of the Word of God.Koinonia Bible College began in the Fall of 1991, with a vision to provide quality biblical education tothe Christians in the city of New Orleans. Our desire was to be accessible and affordable, yet withoutcompromising the depth of teaching. The vision involved seeing something like a loaf of bread, beingbroken and distributed through the college, and each piece being taken back to the local churches to feedothers. Therefore, Koinonia is designed to allow the students to be educated, without having to transferlocal membership.Koinonia is the Greek work for fellowship. We feel that this word best describes the philosophy of ourschool: to strengthen the body of Christ by utilizing each believer’s gift to the edification of all. Themotto of our school is: Equipping the Saints for Ministry. Our success is gauged by the reports we getfrom our students; they take the information gained here and apply it to their own areas of ministry, resulting in the changed lives of those to whom they minister. In keeping with the concept of “a loaf of bread to be shared”, Koinonia has developed correspondencecourses. This will allow the student even greater flexibility in pursuing biblical studies. Through ourweb page, orders are being placed and catalogs requested from all over the country, even the world. Weinvite you to visit our site on the Internet. The address is www.kbc.org.We are also accredited with the largest non-governmental agency in the world – AccreditingCommission International (501) 882-3361.
