You will seefrom the descriptions, that some coffins may not be suitable forcremation, because of the material and local regulations at thecrematorium. We also offer a limited range of designs suitablefor children and we can help and advise you on this.Some things to consider:Including Personal ItemsYou may want to place personal items in the coffin, for examplephotographs, letters, cards, medals or flowers. If you have chosena cremation, some items may have to be removed before thecremation takes place, as some materials cannot be cremated.We will advise you about this.Religious and Cultural RequirementsEvery coffin has a nameplate. If you want any religious or othersymbols on the coffin we have a wide range available, includingAsian and non-Christian symbols. We have cords and tassels fortraditional Scottish funerals.Care of the AshesHow we can helpIf you would like some helpand advice when choosing acoffin, casket or urn, ourstaff are always on hand toanswer your questions.After a cremation you will need to decide the final resting place ofthe ashes. You can keep the ashes in an urn, scatter them or burythem. You don’t need to make a decision straightaway.If you would like to place the ashes in an urn, we have a range ofurns and ashes caskets which are shown in this brochure. We canhelp and advise you.MemorialsMemorials are a way to remember our loved ones and canrange from headstones at a grave to a simple flower in a gardenof remembrance. Memorials provide comfort for many people,giving them a place to visit to remember the person who has died.When choosing a memorial it is important that you have time toreflect on your decision and understand the different regulationsthat may affect your choice. We can help you with your choiceof memorial after the funeral.1

Continually improving our environmentalperformance by setting objectives, actionsand targets.
