Joint programs between PSUT and universities in the USAPSUT runs a number of joint programs based on a number of agreements which have been signed with some of theworld’s most prestigious universities. These agreements focus on cooperation in teaching the programs of study,granting academic degrees and facilitating students’ completion of graduate studies. This is in line with the University’sobjectives of raising academic and technological standards while furthering the country’s development programs.Under these programs, PSUT’s undergraduates can study in one of the agreed programs and obtain degree certificatesfrom both universities. They can also obtain scholarships from those universities, and complete their studies inaccelerated time.Princess Sumaya University for Technology (PSUT) has signed cooperation agreements with Indiana UniversityBloomington (IU), Colorado State University-Fort Collins (CSU), Oakland University (OU), the University of MichiganDearborn (UM-D), and the University of Arizona – Tucson (UA) that allow students to study common disciplines inEngineering, Computing Sciences and Business.What are the fees and are there any scholarships available?1. The student pays the set PSUT tuition fees due for the period of time he/she spends studying at PSUT.2. Interested students should follow the instructions shared with them in this brochure and on PSUT’s website. Theyshould plan at least one year ahead in order to be ready to start their first semesters abroad in Fall. Should anyquestions arise during the application process, they may contact the listed contact people at PSUT.3. PSUT students receive a discount or partial scholarship by paying in-state tuition fees which are equivalent tobetween (33-45%) of the tuition fees at the American university during the period of his/her studies there.4. The student is responsible for all other expenses such as accommodation, travel, obtaining a visa from the USEmbassy, and health insurance.5. A deposit of 1000 Jordanian dinars must be made at PSUT by the student who wishes to join any of the jointprograms with American universities upon submission of the application, in exchange for the services of admission,registration, follow-up, course equivalency and keeping his/her seat at PSUT. This amount is used as follows:a. In the event the student is accepted, all semester registration fees are deducted to the sum of 300 JOD for eachsemester spent abroad (150 JOD for summer semester), according to the rules and regulations in force at thattime. The remainder, if any, is credited to the student’s account.b. The full amount will be returned to the student if he/she is not accepted by the American university.c. A sum of 500 dinars will be deducted if the student is accepted but does not join the program for any reason.Joint Program with Indiana University-Bloomington (IU)2 2 Dual degree program in Computer ScienceThe student will study two years at PSUT (equivalent to 60 credit hours) and two years (open to a possible third year)at IU (equivalent to 60 credit hours). He/she is then eligible to receive two Bachelor’s degrees in Computer Science, adegree from each university. He/she may then take the option to obtain a Master’s degree in one additional academicyear.

What are the conditions of this 2 2 program?1. The student should be accepted to the Computer Science program at PSUT after meeting the University’s admissionrequirements. The student studies the first and second year at PSUT, following a specific study plan from day 1,completing 60 credit hours according to a specific study plan, with a minimum cumulative average of 75%.2. At this point, the student applies for admission to IU, which includes obtaining a TOEFL/IELTS English languageproficiency certificate. For more information, check the following link: .html3. The student must obtain a GPA of at least (2.0) out of (4.0) in his/her courses at IU in order to graduate.4. Upon completion of the required credit hours at IU, as specified in the study plan, the student requests a transcriptfrom IU and submits it to the Deanship of Admissions and Registration at PSUT to obtain a Bachelor’s degree inComputer Science from PSUT in addition to a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from IU, thus obtaining twocertificates, one from each university.Note: A maximum of five students will be accepted each year for this scholarship.Joint Program with Colorado State University-Fort Collins (CSU)2 2 Dual degree program in Computer Science and Data ScienceThe student will study two years at PSUT and two years (open to a possible third year) at CSU, following a specificstudy plan from day 1. He/she is then eligible to receive a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from PSUT, and aBachelor’s degree in Computer Science with concertation on Data Science from CSU.What are the conditions of this 2 2 program?1. The student should be accepted to the Computer Science program at PSUT after meeting the University’s admissionrequirements. The student studies the first and second year at PSUT, according to a specific study plan, with aminimum cumulative average of 70%.2. At this point, the student applies for admission to IU, which includes obtaining a TOEFL 72 / IELTS 6.0 Englishlanguage proficiency certificate.3. The student must obtain a GPA of at least (3.0) out of (4.0) at CSU to maintain the scholarship.4. Upon completion of the required credit hours at CSU, as specified in the study plan, the student requests a transcriptfrom IU and submits it to the Deanship of Admissions and Registration at PSUT to obtain a Bachelor’s degree inComputer Science from PSUT in addition to a Bachelor’s degree in Data Science from CSU, thus obtaining twocertificates, one from each university.

Joint programs with the University of Michigan - Dearborn (UM-D)2 2 Dual degree in Business AdministrationThe student will study two years at PSUT (equivalent to 70 credit hours) and two years (open to a possible thirdyear) at UM-D (equivalent to 62 credit hours) according to a specific study plan. He/she is then eligible to receive twoBachelor’s degrees in Business Administration, a degree from each university. He/she may then take the option toobtain a Master’s degree in an additional academic year.What are the conditions of the 2 2 program?1. The student is accepted into the Business Administration major at PSUT after fulfilling the University’s admissionrequirements. He/she studies the first and second years at PSUT, completing (70) credit hours according to thespecified plan, with a minimum cumulative average of 70%.2. After that, the student applies for admission to UM-D, which requires obtaining a TOEFL/IELTS English languageproficiency certificate.3. The student must obtain a GPA of at least (2.0) in the courses studied at UM-D.4. The student must have a minimum cumulative GPA of (2.8) in at least four of the undergraduate courses studied,or a BBA-Core at the College of Business (CoB).3 2 Joint programs in all disciplines of the King Talal School of Business TechnologyThe student studies three years in the Bachelor program at PSUT and two years (open to a possible third year) atUM-D according to a specific plan and conditions. He/she is then eligible to receive a Bachelor’s degree in the chosendiscipline from PSUT as well as a graduate degree from UM-D.In this way, the student cuts one year from the period of study required for the Master’s degree.What are the conditions of the 3 2 program?1. Completion of all required courses during the first three years spent at PSUT, (equivalent to at least 105 credit hours)with a minimum cumulative average of 70%.2. The student submits an application for admission to UM-D.3. The cumulative average obtained for a minimum of 12 credit hours in the courses studied in the fourth year at UM-Dmust be not less than (3.0 GPA) in order for the student to continue postgraduate studies.4. The student must meet the admission requirements for the Master’s program at UM-D, which include a score of atleast 550 on the GMAT Comprehensive Exam or equivalent score on the GRE Comprehensive Examination. Notethat students have the opportunity to apply for an exemption from this entrance exam if one of the followingconditions is met:a. The student graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from PSUT within the last 5 years with a 3.2 GPA or a Master’sdegree with a 3.0 GPA.b. The student completed at least 24 credit hours of a Master’s program at PSUT during the last 5 years and with a3.0 GPA.c. Completion of all required courses during the first three years spent at PSUT, (equivalent to at least 105 credit hours)with a minimum cumulative average of 80%.2. He is then eligible to receive a Bachelor’s degree in the chosendiscipline from PSUT as well as a Master’s degree in Engineering disciplines from UM-D.What are the conditions of the 4 2 program?1. Completion of all required courses during the first four years spent at PSUT, (equivalent to at least 132 credit hours)with a minimum cumulative average of 80%.2. The student submits an application for admission to UM-D.3. The student obtains a Bachelor’s degree from PSUT with a minimum GPA of 3.0.4. Fulfillment of the conditions stipulated on the official ams/admissionsJoint programs with Oakland University (OU)3 2 Dual-degree in Computer EngineeringThe student studies the equivalent of 98 credit hours (approximately three academic years) at PSUT and completeshis/her remaining semesters with an average of 72 credit hours (equivalent to two academic years) at OU accordingto a specific study plan thus becoming eligible for two Bachelor’s degrees in Computer Engineering, a degree fromeach university. The student has the option to enroll in the Master’s program at Oakland University and complete theirstudies in one year.What are the conditions of the 3 2 (dual-degree) program?1. Completion of the program requirements during the first three years (equivalent to 98 credit hours) at PSUT with aminimum cumulative average of 75%.2. The student applies for admission to OU, which includes obtaining a certificate of English proficiency. The studentshould achieve a mark of 79 in the TOEFL exam, or 6.5 in IELTS to be able to start studying the specializationcourses.3. Completion of the program requirements during the last two years at OU (equivalent to 72 credit hours).

3 2 Computing Sciences or 4 2 Engineering joint programs with cultural exchange for students under theAmerican Study Abroad Program (ASAP)PSUT students of all disciplines can study in any of the undergraduate or postgraduate programs (Master’s and Ph.D.)can apply to study for a semester or two at OU for up to one year (12 months).What are the conditions of the program?1. PSUT’s bachelor students should have a minimum cumulative average of 75% and master students equivalent to atleast GPA 3.02. The student applies for admission to OU, which includes obtaining a certificate of English proficiency. The studentshould achieve a mark of 79 in the TOEFL exam, or 6.5 in IELTS to be able to start studying the specializationcourses.3. Bachelor students now at OU must register at least 12 credit hours and maximum 16 credit hours each semester,and master students between 8 and 12 credit hours.4. Upon completion of the credit hours to be studied at OU, the courses taken will be accredited according to thestudent’s discipline at PSUT, after the student requests to send a transcript by OU to PSUT’s Deanship of Admissionsand Registration to obtain the undergraduate degree.5. If the student is accepted into any of the Master’s or PhD programs at OU, a maximum of 12 credit hours may beaccredited from the hours studied during the undergraduate program at OU.Note:-Oakland University does not charge quarterly fees.-PSUT graduate students do not require the GRE exam when applying for admission.- A maximum of twenty students will be accepted each year for this scholarship.Joint programs with the University of Arizona - Tucson (UA)PSUT serves as a micro-campus for the University of Arizona here in Amman. This partnership includes offeringPSUT’s bachelor students the opportunity of benefiting from their Global Direct Online opportunities at a highlypreferred rate of around 390 per bachelor credit hour, and 580 per master credit hour. This is designed to helpstudents create a customized plan to complete a US degree. These options include:TRANSITION TO MAIN This path is designed for first-time college students to earn credit online with the intention tocomplete the UArizona degree in person on the main campus in Tucson.TRANSFER CREDIT This path allows students to take courses online with the intention to transfer that credit toanother US college or university.THEMATIC PATHWAYS This path is designed for students who have completed 60 or more units of diverse courseworkand want to apply those courses to a degree program at the University of Arizona.
