If candidates have worked inconstruction for some period of time in a variety ofdifferent settings, they likely have experienced much ofwhat will be found on their test. On the other hand, if thecandidates’ experience is limited (not only in years but inthe variety of work performed) then it is likely they maywant to spend time increasing their knowledge by studyingareas in which they are less familiar. For all candidates, the reality is that people forget those things they don’tuse, and over time a candidate’s knowledge in some areasmay have decreased.Prov recommends that candidates prepare for their testsby familiarizing themselves with the exam referenceswith emphasis on the subject areas listed in each testdescription. Candidates who are familiar with theirreference materials will spend less time searching for Prov, Inc. 2018Page 8 of 11
