Powertrain and Engine Coverage PowerGard Protection Plan Residential TermsThis brochure contains a summary of the PowerGard Protection Plan Residential Terms and Conditions. Youwill be provided your full terms and conditions afterpurchasing your PowerGard Protection Plan Residentialcontract. Under the PowerGard Protection PlanResidential, extended repair protection coverage beginson the plan’s purchase date and continues through theend of the Agreement period or until Maximum Hourshave been reached on the Covered Product, whicheveroccurs irst. If You Purchase a new contract duringthe term of an existing PowerGard Protection PlanResidential contract, the extended repair protectioncoverage begins upon the expiration of your currentcontract and continues through the end of the termpurchased or until the Maximum Hours have beenreached on the Covered Product, whichever comes irst.Coverage and Covered ComponentsThe PowerGard Protection Plan Residential only applies tocovered engine and powertrain components of CoveredEquipment. We will repair or replace, at our option,those Covered Components that are defective in materialor workmanship. Engine Components Not Coveredinclude external pipes and hoses (suchas, but not limited to, turbo charger,oil line, injector pump lines, and airintake hoses and clamps), variablespeed fan drive, viscous fan drive, orfan and accessory drive belts, accessorymounting brackets, accessories, intercoolers/after-coolers, fuel transferpumps, and normal wear parts such asseals. Other electronic controls (suchas but not limited to hand and footthrottle, internal cab controllers, etc.) arealso not covered.2. Powertrain Components Not Coveredinclude seals, dry clutch parts, steeringcylinders, external linkages, pipesand hoses; rims, tires, and tubes; andcomponents mounted to but notfunctionally part of the drive train,including but not limited to rockshaftparts, mounting brackets, gudgeonand hinge components, and cylinders.Non-covered powertrain componentsalso include the main hydraulic pump,reverser lever, three point hitchcontroller, and suspension componentsand systems, such as, but not limited tosystems for axles, cabs and tracks. Fortrack driven tractors, components notcovered also include rubber tracks; frontidlers, mid rollers, and drive wheels; andtrack tensioning parts. Any services not authorized by theadministrator or performed by an unauthorizedservicer Any additional costs for services not covered bythis Agreement Incidental, consequential or secondarydamages or delay in rendering service under thisAgreement, or loss of use during the period thatthe covered product is at an authorized servicecenter or otherwise awaiting parts Parts or repairs due to normal wear and tearand items normally designed to be periodicallyreplaced by the purchaser during the coveredproduct’s life, including but not limited tobatteries, cleaning or replacement of particulateilters, break, clutch components, bearings, lightbulbs, ilters, luids, blades, belts, hoses, sparkplugs, seats, cv boots, consumables etc.; lossor damage caused by theft, vandalism or riot,the elements, ire, explosion, chemicals or salt,collision or other accidents, war, invasion or actof foreign enemy, hostilities, civil war, rebellion,riot, strike, labor disturbance, lockout, or civilcommotion Nonfunctional or aesthetic parts includingbut not limited to plastic parts, knobs, rollers,baskets, scratches, peeling and dents Accessories or attachments used in conjunctionwith a covered product Service where no problem can be found Breakdowns that are not reported within theterm of this agreementEligibilityThe PowerGard Protection Plan Residential is forpersonal use only. Contact your localdealer for more details.TransferabilityThe PowerGard Protection Plan Residential istransferable by the original purchaser for the balance ofthe original Agreement period.CancellationThe PowerGard Protection Plan Residential can becancelled for any reason at any time. If you cancel yourAgreement within sixty (60) days of receipt of yourAgreement, you can return to the selling retailer for a fullrefund. Atour discretion, replacement parts used in covered repairswill be either new Genuine John Deere Parts or GenuineJohn Deere remanufactured parts or componentsfurnished by John Deere.Limit of LiabilityThe limit of liability under the Agreement is the least ofthe cost of (1) the purchase price of the Covered Productexcluding tax and delivery costs or (2) authorized repairsnot to exceed the purchase price of the Covered Product
