This activity is designed so thatstudents become familiar with the University, itspeople, programs and services, as well as the city.At UTDT students are expected to take responsibilityfor their own learning. Class attendance is required;schedule overlap is not allowed. Students will beencouraged to read widely, analyze what hasbeen read, and will be expected to understandthe material covered in lectures, not just memorizeit. Teaching styles vary but, generally speaking,independent thought and discussion are encouraged,class participation is key at UTDT.

ApplicationDeadlinesUndergraduate courses, Certificate Programs& Argentine Culture & Language Course:First semester(March – July)November 1Second semester(August – December)April 15Graduate courses:First & second quartersModules 1 & 2: November 1Third quarterModules 3, 4 & 5:April 15DocumentsUpon nomination by their home universities, students must submit:› Application form› Official University transcript in English or Spanish including the grades of the most recent semesterand an explanation of the grading system used at the home university.› Language requirements: Certificates are only required when students will be taking courses in alanguage that is not their mother tongue nor that of instruction at their home university. Spanish: B2or 4 semesters of college-level courses / English: B2.› Copy of passport information page (if a multiple passport holder, please only send the one that willbe used to enter Argentina).› Passport size photo for student ID (in .jpg format)› Architecture and Design students must also submit a 5-20 page portfolio in .pdf format weighingless than 10 MB. They will also be required to have a virtual admissions interview in Spanish.Submission:Please submit scanned copies of all application materials in .pdf format and in one single email toexchange@utdt.edu. It is not necessary to send printed copies.Incomplete applications will not be processed.An email confirmation will be sent when the application is received.Admissions decisions will be communicated via email approximately three weeks after the applicationdeadline.Course information & RegistrationIn the application form please include your course selection with up to 6 courses in order of preference.Approximately two weeks before the beginning of the semester course schedules will be published. Atthat time we will pre-register you in the courses informed in the application.During the orientation you will receive the schedule of the courses you have been registered in. If youare an undergraduate student, you will have the first two weeks of the semester to make any changesin your course registration. If you are a graduate student, changes will only be allowed duringthe first week of each module/ trimester. After these periods no changes will be allowed and allcourses in which you are enrolled will appear in the transcript to be sent to the home university.Please take into consideration that many universities are closed when the second semester's add/dropperiod at UTDT takes place (early August). Since no exceptions will be made to the add/period, makesure to come to UTDT with more pre-approved courses than you would need to take so that you haveoptions should you have to modify your course registration.UNDERGRADUATE COURSE CATALOG

Students taking Master’s inInternational Relations courses should expect thistime to double.Extracurricular activitiesUTDT offers an array of activities that allow internationalstudents to meet local ones, practice their Spanish, andfeel more integrated into the campus culture. Incomingstudents are encouraged to participate in the ambassadors& language exchange programs. They are also welcome tojoin the student clubs (Consulting; Current Economics; De(constructing); Debate; Entrepreneurship; Film; Finance;Innovation Technology; Languages; Literature; PoliticalScience;Sustainable Development; (Re) Thinking), andorganizations (StudentGovernment, UTDT’s magazine andthe Social Action group). Our sports (basketball, chess,golf, soccer, running, swimming, tennis, yoga, volleyball ,and functional training) are amateur and open to everyone,just as the theatre, choir, and singing workshops andthe different social and cultural events organized by theInternational Programs Department.Ambassadors ProgramIncoming students may opt to have an Ambassador.Ambassadors are domestic students who volunteerto welcome and support incoming visitors.

HousingHealth insuranceUTDT is a non-residential campus. Acceptedstudents receive information about differentaccommodation options in their welcome packages.Also, through a closed Facebook group they mayfind roommates and receive recommendationsfrom current and past incoming students.Neighbourhoods preferred by our students are:Belgrano, Cañitas, Palermo, and Recoleta.A comprehensive Argentine health insurance ismandatory to register at UTDT. The Universitysuggests that students obtain the services offeredby William Hope.
