TLC UPDATEShannon Cline, TLC Coordinator, gave an Executive Summary of the TLCprogram for the 2016/2017 school year.PRINCIPAL REPORTNed Menke, Co-Elementary Principal, shared information on the PBIS (PositiveBehavioral Interventions &Supports) data for the 2016/2017 school year.SUPERINTENDENTREPORTSuperintendent Ubben reminded the board that Monday, July 10, 2017 is the firstdate to file nomination papers for School Board with the Board Secretary.Thursday, August 3, 2017 is the last day to file nomination papers.Tuesday, September 12, 2017 is School Board Election Day. Polls are open from7a.m. to 8 p.m.Perry Community School desk audit is based upon a review of documentssubmitted to the Department of Education for state reporting and the UniversalDesk Audit. The review is designed to determine compliance with stateaccreditation standards and applicable federal program requirements. “No noncompliance issues were noted and no corrective action plan is required.”COMMENDATIONSCongratulations to Coach Happel & the Jayette Golfers! The team placed 2nd inthe Raccoon River Conference Tournament at Adel. The team consists ofAlyssa Kruger, Brooke Huntington, Sarah Sweet, Skylar Cunningham, DelaneyEiteman, and Madyson Hill. Three Jayettes made ALL CONFERENCE! AlyssaKruger shot a 90 for a 2nd place finish, Brooke Huntington placed 4th, and SarahSweet 6th.Congratulations to the Bluejay Golf Team! Noah Wilkening made All Conference5th place. The awards are OutstandingPerformance in a Principal Role—Breanna Penenger as “Peter Pan”, SpecialRecognition for Performance as a Featured Dancer—Anna Ridnour, andDistinguished Scene—“Indian Dance”.Breanna Penenger will perform a solo excerpt from the song I Gotta Crow fromPeter Pan at the IHSMTA Showcase. She will also perform in a medley. AmaniAl-Rashid, Karley Whelchel, Madison Mason, and Taylor Eppert will beperforming along with students from other schools in the opening medley of theAwards Showcase.
