Children and young people.These areas are outlined in more detail in the Our Priorities section of the Trust’s ities).Our current projects are varied in nature but include important work on: resuming NHSand social care services after Covid-19; evaluations of volunteer-led interventions anduse of technology in healthcare; research into prisoner health; research into the health ofchildren and young people; analysis of primary care policy development; learning frominternational approaches to social care; and tracking how the quality of health and socialcare are changing over time.Our work programme is constantly evolving to keep pace with the changing policyenvironment, and our assessment of where our skills and knowledge could make a realdifference to policy and the lives of patients, the public and those who deliver health andcare services. Job DescriptionPurposeThe Team Assistant is based in the operations team and is responsible for providingadministrative support across the three core teams within the Nuffield Trust. Most of yoursupport will be for the communications and operations teams. You will also be expected towork with others, including other administrators, across the Trust.You will have experience of working as a PA or team administrator and you will haveexcellent communication and interpersonal skills. You must be able to manage conflictingpriorities, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines. It is essential that you have goodattention to detail and a willingness to solve problems with minimal support. You will beflexible, hardworking and have a confident yet friendly personality.Main responsibilitiesYour responsibilities will include: Provide administrative support to:o the operations and communications teams, through assisting with record keeping,filing, the organisation of team away days, meetings and other eventso the events team, through assisting with building and managing delegate lists,venue booking, sending invitations, and maintaining records for both online andin-person eventso the HR Manager, through assisting with recruitment, induction, record keepingand other relevant HR processeso the Finance Manager, through assisting with routine financial functions such asprocessing invoices and expense claims for Directors and Deputy Directors Manage email inboxes and calendars for relevant organisation accounts and a limitedamount of diary management of Directors and Deputy Directors Answer incoming telephone calls and direct them to relevant individuals Answer the remote door entry system and manage visitors and suppliers Distribute incoming mail and arrange couriers as required Support internal meetings through identifying dates, booking and setting up meetingrooms, arranging video conferencing, and catering (where required) for both onlineand in-person meetings Manage contacts and create audience reports using Salesforce, our CustomerRelationship Management (CRM) database Set up, maintain and develop electronic filing systems Proofread and check documents as requiredCandidate Brief / www.nuffieldtrust.org.ukPage 4 of 9

Annual leave is 28 days per year. This rises to 30 days per year on completion of 5 years’service with the Trust. All Annual leave is calculated pro rata for part-time positions.The Trust also encourages personal development and training programmes for all itsemployees.Terms of AppointmentThis is a full time (35 hours per week) permanent appointment based in London.Flexi-time is available to all staff and further flexible working requests will beconsidered.Our central London office offers a safe and welcoming working environment forthose staff who choose to use it. We also continue to support staff to work fromhome.
