Village of Mantua, OhioRESOLUTION 2020-32A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE QUOTE OF 20,378.30 FROM TODD LAMBPAVING AND EXCAVATING FOR THE BUCHERT PARK WALKING TRAILPROJECT PHASE 2 AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.WHEREAS, the Village of Mantua has applied for and received funding through theState of Ohio NatureWorks grant program, administered by the Ohio Department of NaturalResources (ODNR), for the eligible components of the Buchert Park Walking Trail Project Phase2; andWHEREAS, Village Engineer CT Consultants, on behalf of the Village, has solicitedquotes for the Project to be funded by the grant monies and local contributions; andWHEREAS, Todd Lamb Paving and Excavating has submitted the only quote for thework, which has been reviewed and recommended by Village Engineer, CT Consultants as setforth in the attached Exhibit A; andWHEREAS, the Council of the Village of Mantua wishes to accept this quote andauthorize the Mayor and Clerk-Treasurer to enter into a contract for said improvements.NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Village of Mantua,Portage County, Ohio, two-thirds or more of the members elected thereto concurring, that:SECTION 1: The Council of the Village of Mantua, Ohio hereby accepts the quote ofTodd Lamb Paving and Excavating, in the amount of 20,378.30, including Base Bid andAlternate A (work in the Right of Way), as set forth in the Bid Tabulation Summary marked“Exhibit B”, attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, for the Buchert Park WalkingTrail Project Phase 2.SECTION 2: The Mayor and the Clerk-Treasurer of the Village of Mantua, Ohio arehereby authorized and directed to execute any documents required to enter into an Agreementwith Todd Lamb Paving and Excavating for execution of the work described in “Exhibit B”.SECTION 3: The Mayor and the Clerk-Treasurer of the Village of Mantua, Ohio arefurther authorized and directed to execute any documents required to obtain reimbursementunder the terms of the ODNR NatureWorks Grant Program for the eligible costs of the project.SECTION 4: It is hereby found and determined that all formal actions of this Councilconcerning and relating to the passage of this Resolution were adopted in an open meeting of thisCouncil, and that all deliberations of this Council and any of its Committees that resulted in suchformal action were in meetings open to the public in compliance with all legal requirements,including Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code.SECTION 5: This Resolution is hereby declared an emergency measure, in order topermit execution of the Buchert Park Walking Trail Project Phase 2 at the earliest possible time,and shall become immediately effective upon its proper passage by two thirds or more of themembers elected to the Mantua Village Council.
