A way of memorializing thisinfamous date by positive action is to help newmothers who are disadvantaged economically. Mostabortions in the U.S. are the result of decisionsaffected by socioeconomic conditions such as poverty,single motherhood, and educational disadvantage. Afuture mother can be encouraged to give birth to herbaby with material aid, which is available throughBirthright of Topeka, an organization aiding pregnantand postnatal women and their children. A baby cribhas been placed in the North vestibule at SacredHeart Church to receive baby supplies (formula,diapers, mother's supplies, etc.).
