How to create an API key andAPI secret in BybitThis “how-to” will guide you in five easy steps through the processhow to set up an API connection on the Bybit.com exchange.After logging in into your Bybit.com account please follow the steps:1. Go to the API menuOn the top right you will find the menu icon for your account. 2. Create a new API keyThis is the main menu displaying all existing API connections.On top the menu item "API Management" is already selected.Hit the field "Create New Key" on the right side of the screen.You will see below 2

Select details for the APISelect and add the details as described and shown in the picture.1) “API Transaction”2) Add a Name for the API; werecommend using“ProBotTrading”3) “Read-Write”4) "Orders" and "Positions"under topic "Contract"5) “ALL IPs" under IP Accessto API KeysDo not select or change anyother option or box in the menu.Good-to-know: Non-custodial read-write accessUsing above settings, our trading bot cannot access or transfer any of your assets!Our trading bot will only be allowed to use your Derivatives account to: Submit, cancel, modify orders and leverages Query information about positions, margins, leveragesPlease noteAs Bybit displays in “5) IP access to API Keys”, the API keys will expireafter a three months.It is the customer’s responsibility to review and renew the keys, ifnecessary, before expiration. If API keys expire the trading bot will loseconnection to your wallet and will not be able to perform 3
4. Confirm API Keys and settingsHit the "Submit" button on the upper right corner.A new window will appear.In the new window, please enter your Two-Factor-Authentication (2FA)six-digit code from your mobile phone app and hit “Confirm”.––– You have successfully created a new API Key –––A new window will appear (Key successfully added), displaying all APIdetails of the newly added API connection – do NOT close the newwindow g.com4
5. Share API key & secret with ProBotTradingUse the displayed window to copy out the API details (in example): API Key: Beorb5UgWEiMnmUsuk API Secret: n case you hit “Understood” and closed the window before you were able to copy outthe API details, you will not be able to display the full “API Secret” again.In this case, simply delete the recently created API connection via the main API menu(displayed in topic 2.
