List of Registered Sewage TanksEffective Date: June 2022Introduction and OverviewChapter 246-272C WAC establishes sewage tank design and construction requirements, planreview and approval requirements, and prefabricated tank registration requirements. Thischapter applies to all prefabricated tanks and all cast-in-place tanks. When the Washington StateDepartment of Health (DOH) has determined that a product meets the registration requirementsthat are established in the rule, the product will be placed on the “List of Registered SewageTanks.” This document is a revision to the previous edition of the “List of Registered SewageTanks.”OverviewChapter 246-272C WAC On-Site Sewage System Tanks took full effect on December 19, 2009.1. A prefabricated tank manufacturer or agent shall comply with the registrationrequirements of Chapter 246-272C-0130 WAC.2. DOH or the local health officer shall only allow use of prefabricated sewage tanks fromthe “List of Registered Sewage Tanks.”3. All prefabricated tank renewal registrations expire on December 31st of the third year ofregistration.4. All prefabricated tank renewal applications must be received by the department no laterthan October 31st of the year the registration expires.We welcome suggestions to improve this document.
