ABOUT THE CONFERENCEThe third annual Advances in Critical Care Conference brings together allmembers of multidisciplinary teams that care for critically ill patients, bothsurgical and medical, on a virtual platform. This conference provides anopportunity to connect with colleagues, network and collaborate withcritical care experts around the country, and explore state-of-the-art tools,technologies, and care pathways. Highlighting the broad critical carenecessary for COVID-19 management there will be engaging speakers andpanel sessions on sepsis, ARDS, trauma, ECMO, shock, acute kidney injury,and other cutting-edge topics.TARGET AUDIENCEThis course is designed for physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners,registered nurses, and other medical care providers who must maintain thestate-of-the-art knowledge required to care for medical and surgical criticalcare patients.LEARNING OBJECTIVESAt the conclusion of the activity the participant should be able to: Use the skills gained to implement more efficient/accurate diagnosisprocesses and treatment techniques to provide improved care for criticallyill patients. Utilize ECMO, percutaneous mechanical support devices, REBOA, andother tools in the management of critically ill patients.ACCREDITATIONThis activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with theaccreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council forContinuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership ofTexas Heart Institute and Baylor College of Medicine.
