Fewer parts andless material also mean a smaller environmental impact.Sayl designer Yves Béhar and our development teamconsidered and reconsidered every part of the design—and, in the end, created a full family of seating that setsthe reference point in its class for quality, performance,and design.
PerformanceSayl’s unframed 3D Intelligent back lets you stretch and move,striking a healthy balance between support and freedom. Theelastomer strands vary in thickness and tension to providegreater support in the transition areas along the spine and lesseverywhere else, to encourage a full range of seated movement. The foundational shell of the upholstered work chair mimics the 3DIntelligent suspension, providing similar dynamic support in a moretraditional back. An optional lumbar support is available on bothwork chair models and provides adjustment over a four-inch range.The construction of Sayl’s 3D Intelligentsuspension back provide integratedPostureFit sacral support, which empowersyour body to maintain a healthful uprightposture with less fatigue.The frameless 3D Intelligent suspension back allows freedom of movement whileThe back of the upholstered work chair and stool, shown here with adjustable lumbar support,providing proper support.is engineered to mimic the dynamic support of 3D Intelligent suspension.
The stretch knit back cover offers an expressive palette that will complement any environment.DesignInspired by suspension bridges—structures that deliver themost using the least material—Yves Béhar applied theengineering principles of these amazing structures to createSayl. The Eco-Dematerialized design of the work chair andstool uses less material in more inventive ways to provideergonomic support for people up to 350 pounds (159 kg). Sayl’s unframed back and Y-Tower support create a strikingvisual aesthetic that reveals both the designer’s inspirationand intent. The stretch knit back cover provides a softer,warmer aesthetic while maintaining the beauty, support, andbreathability of Sayl’s signature 3-D suspension back. A fullyupholstered version is also available. Both offer an expressivepalette that will complement any environment. About Yves BéharA graduate of the Art Center College of Design, Yves Béharstarted out working with high-tech Silicon Valley clients,eventually gravitating to the sport, apparel, technology, andfurniture arenas.
