( 22-7-2016,19-9-2016 & 26-22017)Organized two phases of workshop for students with funding for EDI government ofTamil Nadu. 200 students and 20 students from various departments participated forone days(12-8-2016) and five days 9 19-9-2016-23-9-2016) respectively.Two students who were shortlisted from second phase participated Third phase ofEDI sponsored training conducted by CED Anna University. ( S. Avinesh –( EIESecon Year and G. AjeethaApparna- EIE Fourth Semester) on 7-11-2016 and 8-112016Two faculty members Dr.Jayasree Krishnan and Dr.G.Ramasundaram attended threedays entrepreneurship educator training program organized by NEN at LIBA,Chennai.Three teams of students won prizes in business plan contest held in IIT Madras.ED cell conducted a lecture on success story and a workshop on business planpreparation on 18-11-2016 around 85 students were participated.ED cell of our college organized workshop on women entrepreneurship is associatedwith Centre of Entrepreneurship Development, Anna University and confederation ofwomen entrepreneurs on 8th march 2017. More than 500 students were participatedfrom various colleges in and around Chennai.104 students attended the workshop from our college. 12 women entrepreneursdelivered lecture on their success stories. Cultural activities were performed by ourcollege students along with Anna University students. As part of event, business quizconducted in which, 20 teams participated and our college team (Miss Shivani.R,Miss U.Tarunika and Miss G.R.Saisree of ECE dept) won second prize.Dr.G.Ramasundaram and Dr.Rohini represented our college in workshop on startuppolicy of AICTE organized by EDI Tamil Nadu at Anna University on 1st march2017. A one day Entrepreneurship awareness workshop was conducted in our campuson 16.7.2017. The speaker Prof.A.Vijayakumar, Chief Mentor - I.N.D.I.A Trustaddressed the member about the entrepreneur life cycle, the challenges andopportunities available to them. About 100 students attended this workshop alongwith the faculty members.Arranged Guest Lectures by Successful entrepreneurs M.Parthasathy and Mr.Chitrakumar – Ventura engineers on 17-8-2017Skill development program organized in association with I.N.D.I.A Trust and NSICfor 98 students from 20-10-2017-22-10-2017Arranged visits for 38 students to innovative startups like- 21-3- 2018.Organized women entrepreneurship day in association with CED AnnaUniversityChennai was conducted on 25-01-2018.Dr.KavithaSairam, CEO & Director FIBSOL Life technologies graced the occasion, she is currently a Bio-Incubator at IITMadras Incubation Cell, Chennai.An Innovative start up plan was presented in ED cell by Mr.Parthipan andMs.Kavinasha they spoke about their project “Lexichem”.
