(Do not use methanolblended fuels)Your new vehicle is designed to obtain maximum performance with UNLEADED FUEL, as well as minimizeexhaust emissions and spark plugfouling.CAUTIONNEVER USE LEADED FUEL. Theuse of leaded fuel is detrimental tothe catalytic converter and willdamage the engine control system’s oxygen sensor and affectemission control.Never add any fuel system cleaning agents to the fuel tank otherthan what has been specified (Werecommend that you consult anauthorized HYUNDAI dealer for details.)WARNING Do not “top off” after the nozzleautomatically shuts off when refueling. Always check that the fuel cap isinstalled securely to preventfuel spillage in the event of anaccident.1-4

01Leaded (if equipped)For some countries, your vehicle isdesigned to use leaded petrol.When you are going to use leadedpetrol, we recommend that you askan authorized HYUNDAI dealerwhether leaded petrol in your vehicleis available or not.Octane Rating of leaded petrol issame with unleaded one.Petrol containing alcohol andmethanolGasohol, a mixture of petrol and ethanol (also known as grain alcohol),and petrol or gasohol containingmethanol (also known as wood alcohol) are being marketed along with orinstead of leaded or unleaded petrol.Do not use gasohol containing morethan 10% ethanol, and do not usepetrol or gasohol containing anymethanol. Either of these fuels maycause drivability problems and damage to the fuel system, engine controlsystem and emission control system.Discontinue using gasohol of anykind if drivability problems occur.Vehicle damage or driveability problems may not be covered by the manufacturer’s warranty if they result fromthe use of:1. Gasohol containing more than10% ethanol.2. Petrol or gasohol containing methanol.3. Leaded fuel or leaded gasohol.CAUTIONNever use gasohol which containsmethanol. Discontinue use of anygasohol product which impairsdrivability.Other fuelsUsing fuels such as;- Silicone (Si) contained fuel,- MMT (Manganese, Mn) containedfuel,- Ferrocene (Fe) contained fuel, and- Other metallic additives containedfuels,may cause vehicle and engine damage or cause plugging, misfiring,poor acceleration, engine stalling,catalyst melting, abnormal corrosion,life cycle reduction, etc.Also, the Malfunction Indicator Lamp(MIL) may illuminate.NOTICEDamage to the fuel system or performance problem caused by theuse of these fuels may not be covered by your New Vehicle LimitedWarranty.1-5

ForewordUse of MTBEHYUNDAI recommends avoiding fuels containing MTBE (Methyl TertiaryButyl Ether) over 15.0% vol. (OxygenContent 2.7% weight) in your vehicle.Fuel containing MTBE over 15.0%vol. (Oxygen Content 2.7% weight)may reduce vehicle performance andproduce vapor lock or hard starting.CAUTIONYour New Vehicle Limited Warranty may not cover damage to thefuel system and any performanceproblems that are caused by theuse of fuels containing methanolor fuels containing MTBE (MethylTertiary Butyl Ether) over 15.0%vol. (Oxygen Content 2.7% weight.)Do not use methanolFuels containing methanol (wood alcohol) should not be used in your vehicle. This type of fuel can reducevehicle performance and damagecomponents of the fuel system, engine control system and emissioncontrol system.1-6Fuel AdditivesHYUNDAI recommends that you useunleaded petrol which has an Octane Rating of RON (Research Octane Number) 91 / AKI (Anti-KnockIndex) 87 or higher.For customers who do not use goodquality petrols including fuel additivesregularly, and have problems startingor the engine does not run smoothly,one bottle of additives added to thefuel tank at every 10,000 km.Additives are available from your authorized HYUNDAI dealer along withinformation on how to use them. Donot mix other additives.Operation in foreign countriesIf you are going to drive your vehiclein another country, be sure to: Observe all regulations regardingregistration and insurance. Determine that acceptable fuel isavailable.

01Diesel engineDiesel fuelDiesel engine must be operated onlyon commercially available diesel fuelthat complies with EN 590 or comparable standard. (EN stands for “European Norm”). Do not use marine diesel fuel, heating oils, or non-approvedfuel additives, as this will increasewear and cause damage to the engine and fuel system. The use ofnon-approved fuels and / or fuel additives will result in a limitation of yourwarranty rights.Diesel fuel of above cetane 51 isused in your vehicle. If two types ofdiesel fuel are available, use summeror winter fuel properly according tothe following temperature conditions. Above -5 C (23 F) . Summer typediesel fuel. Below -5 C (23 F) . Winter typediesel fuel.Watch the fuel level in the tank verycarefully : If the engine stop s throughfuel failure, the circuits must be completely purged to permit restarting.CAUTIONDo not let any petrol or water enterthe tank. This would make it necessary to drain it out and to bleedthe lines to avoid jamming the injection pump and damaging theengine.CAUTIONDiesel Fuel (if equipped with DPF)It is recommended to use the regulated automotive diesel fuel fordiesel vehicle equipped with theDPF system.If you use diesel fuel includinghigh sulfur (more than 50 ppm sulfur) and unspecified additives, itcan cause the DPF system to bedamaged and white smoke can beemitted.BiodieselCommercially supplied Diesel blendsof no more than 7% biodiesel, commonly known as “B7 Diesel” may beused in your vehicle if Biodieselmeets EN 14214 or equivalent specifications. (EN stands for “EuropeanNorm”). The use of biofuels exceeding 7% made from rapeseed methylester (RME), fatty acid methyl ester(FAME), vegetable oil methyl ester(VME) etc. or mixing diesel exceeding 7% with biodiesel will cause increased wear or damage to the engine and fuel system. Repair orreplacement of worn or damagedcomponents due to the use of nonapproved fuels will not be covered bythe manufactures warranty.1-7

ForewordVEHICLE MODIFICATIONSCAUTION Never use any fuel, whether diesel, B7 biodiesel or otherwise,that fails to meet the latest petroleum industry specification. Never use any fuel additives ortreatments that are not recommended or approved by the vehicle manufacturer.1-8This vehicle should not be modified.Modification of your vehicle could affect its performance, safety or durability and may even violate governmentalsafetyandemissionsregulations.In addition, damage or performanceproblems resulting from any modification may not be covered underwarranty. If you use unauthorized electronicdevices, it may cause the vehicleto operate abnormally, wire damage, battery discharge and fire. Foryour safety, do not use unauthorized electronic devices.

019( ,&/( %5( .ǘ,1 352ǘCESSNo special break-in period is needed.By following a few simple precautionsfor the first 1,000 km (600 miles) youmay add to the performance, economy and life of your vehicle: Do not race the engine. While driving, keep your enginespeed (rpm, or revolutions per minute) between 2,000 rpm and 4,000rpm. Do not maintain a single speed forlong periods of time, either fast orslow.Varying engine speed is needed toproperly break-in the engine. Avoid hard stops, except in emergencies, to allow the brakes to seatproperly. Don’t tow a trailer during the first2,000 km (1,200 miles) of operation.1-9

Misuse, abuse, accident, theft,flooding or fire. Use of improper or insufficientfuel, fluids or lubricants. Use of parts other than HyundaiGenuine Parts. Any device and/or accessoriesnot supplied by HMIL. Modifications, alterations, tampering or improper repair. Parts used in applications ofwhich they were not designed ornot approved by HMIL. Slight irregularities not recognised as affecting quality orfunction of the vehicle or parts,such as slight noise orvibrations,or items consideredcharacteristic of the vehicle. Airborne “fallout”, Industrialfallout, acid rain, hail and windstorms, or other Acts of God. Paint scratches, dents or similarpaint or body damage. Action of road elements (sand,gravel, dust or road debris) whichresults in stone chipping of paint

This warranty is the entire warranty given by HMIL for Hyundaivehicles and no dealer or its or hisagent or employee is authorizedAudio Video Navigation System, Batteries, Tyres & Tubes and Audio Systems, originally equipped on Hyundaivehicles are warranted directly by therespective manufacturers and not byHMIL. to extend or enlarge this warrantyand no dealer or its or his agentor employee is authorized tomake any oral warranty on HMIL’sbehalf.HMIL reserves the right to makeany change in design or makeany improvement on the vehicleat any time without any obligation to make the same change onvehicles previously sold.HMIL reserves the right for the final decision in all warranty matters.Owner’s Responsibilities Proper use, maintenance and careof vehicle in accordance with theinstructions contained in thisOwner’s Manual and ServiceBooklet. If the vehicle is subjectto severe usage conditions, susuch as operation in extremelydusty, rough, more repeatedshort distance driving or heavycity traffic during hot weather,maintenance of vehicle shouldbe done more frequently as mentioned in this Owner’s Manualand Service Booklet Retention of maintenance servicerecords. It may be necessary forthe customer to show that the required maintenance has beenperformed, as specified in thisOwner’s Manual and ServiceBooklet. Delivery of the vehicle during regular service business hours toany authorized Hyundai Dealer toobtain warranty service. In order to maintain the validity ofthis Basic Warranty, the vehiclemust be serviced by Hyundai Authorized workshop in accordanceto the Owner’s Manual and Service Booklet.PARTS REPLACEMENT WARǢRANTYHyundai Motor India Limited hereinafter called “HMIL”, warrants thateach new Hyundai Genuine replacement part purchased from and installed by Hyundai Authorized Dealershall be free from any defects in material or workmanship, unde normaluse and maintenance, subject to thefollowing terms and conditions1. Warranty periodThis warranty shall exist for a periodof 6 months or until the vehicle hasbeen driven for a distance of 10,000Kilometers from the date of installation of replacement part by HyundaiAuthorized Dealer, whichever occurs3-3

What is not coveredThis warranty shall not apply to:Normal maintenance services ofparts such as cleaning, adjustment or replacement (i.e. sparkplugs that are oil fouled, leadfouled, or which fail due to theuse of low grade fuel).Parts that fail due to abuse, misuse, neglect, alteration or accident or which have been improperly lubricated or repairedParts used in applications forwhich they were not designed orapproved by HMIL.Failure due to normal wear ofparts.Direct or indirect failures causedby misuse and improper maintenance of vehicle.Any vehicle on which the odometer reading has been altered sothat mileage cannot be accurate3-4ly determined.Incidental or consequential damages, including without limitation, loss of time, inconvenience,loss of use of vehicle or commercial loss.This warranty is the entire warrantygiven by HMIL for Hyundai replacement parts and no de aler or its or hisagent or employee is authorized toextend or enlarge this warranty andno dealer or its or his agent or employee is authorized to make any oralwarranty on HMIL’s behalf.
