May she rest inpeace, and may all her family and friends be consoled. We congratulate Chelsea Duncan and Sam Enneking who tied themarriage knot on Saturday in our church. May they have many years ofmarried bliss and happiness together. Also congratulations to Lila JoGiesting, daughter of Louis andAmanda Jo Giesting, who was baptizedthis past Sunday and joined our Churchcommunity.Hopefully everyone had enoughcandy for Halloween and did not eat toomuch. There were plenty of ghosts andgoblins who came to the friary and gotsomething to fill their bags and buckets. Perhaps the pastor was not asgenerous as in past years, but a good time was had by all!We celebrated All Saints Day and All Souls Day in appropriate fashionwith Mass and prayers for those who have gone before us. Our call asChristians and children of God is to seek always to be friends of God andgrow in holiness. We joined in prayer for all those family members and friendswho have died, especially those who died during the past year. Please enterthe names of your loved ones in the Book of Remembrance in the front ofchurch. Thanks to all who vote for our new Parish Council members thisweekend. We’ll announce the makeup of our Parish Council as soon as thevotes are counted and the new Council members are notified. This week is National Vocation Awareness Week, and we are surely inneed of vocations to serve in our Church. Please pray for greater awareness. This week’s Scriptures speak to us of the importance of seeking to be ofservice to our sisters and brothers, not to seek positions of honor andprestige. Jesus tells us that “Whoever exalts himself will be humbled; butwhoever humbles himself will be exalted.”FRIARY SCHEDULEPhone the Friary for an appointment.Have a blessed week!- Fr.
