Nursing procedures are based on best practice references, clinical practice guidelines, andstandards from professional nursing associations and organizations. It is the practice of SentaraHealthcare Nursing that the following resources will guide nursing procedural care. Explicit policiesor physician orders for nursing within scope of practice or manufacturer guidelines on specificproducts may at times be appropriate to supersede these generic procedural references.Procedure: Patient care areas will have either electronic or hard copy access to the below listedreferences.
