President’s ReportGreetings Masters Squash Players,Our state of NSW has been through some tough times over the past two years which has kept a lotof us apart from our usual monthly get togethers at our master’s tournaments, from COVID tofloods which have impacted many of you and your communities. It will be a pleasure to see you all in June at State Titles. We have our newest registrar Cole Wellswho will be preparing the draw for you all and your committee working hard behind the scenes toprepare for the weekend.COVID hasn’t disappeared, so please take precautions, and try to maintain social distancing or popon a mask if you cannot. We strongly recommend if you have any flu like symptoms that you donot attend the tournament and let Cole Wells know asap as it is a hard draw to put together thatinvolves a huge amount of time and effort. We are having a raffle at state titles and 100 club, so be sure to get your tickets as I really likethe prizes. The proceeds go towards the running of masters association each year.1st prize - 300 red balloon voucher2nd prize – Pandora necklace3rd prize – Swarkovski earringsAs you know we have swapped around a couple of tournaments due to the pending closure ofWyong courts and some remediation works that need to be carried out at Bathurst courts. I’verecently been informed that Bathurst cannot commit to running this year’s tournament but lookforward to having us all back there in 2023.Therefore, we have been working with other court owners to secure two tournaments for Augustand September. Please note in your diaries: 13-14 August – Old Bar4-5 September – Parkes, this is a change in the tournament calendar dates due to othertournaments affecting Jay Kross (Manager of Parkes courts), Yes, it is Father’s Day weekendhowever we wanted to secure you all a tournament a little further away from your travel datesto Adelaide.Australian TitlesFrom July, Adelaide will open their entries for the Australian Titles. You need to enter yourself infor singles and also if you are only playing teams week as well, there will be instructions so pleaseread.Note: It is a requirement for participants to be a member of a state body to entersingles/teams’ events for Master’s Australian Titles. If you are playing teams week, you also need to complete an “expression of interest” form by30/6/22 and provide to our secretary, this includes payment. A great opportunity can be at statetitles where our treasurer will have Albert and he will be able to take your forms and payments.Enough on the business side of things, what are you all wearing to the dinner dance, and will I havetime to curl my hair?Stay safeDavina Harding – President
