During this field tripparticipants will join David Eisenhour, Ph.D. to collect andidentify fish and conduct behavioral observations both underwater and bankside.Sessions 1 and 2 will focus on basic design, technique and a stilllife subject matter. Sessions 3 and 4 will pertain to a landscapereference. He is a former KentuckyCroquet Association State Champion. Dean is also a retired Chess Coach.Russ is a former Professor of Physics at Morehead State University (MSU). Hereceived his Ph.D. and M.S. in Physics from Georgia Institute of Technology, anda Bachelor of Engineering Physics at Auburn University. Russ’ academic careerat MSU included advising physics and pre-engineering students. He enlisted in the Army after graduation and was stationed inGermany until he completed his service in 1965. He earned his M.A. in Artfrom the University of Missouri at Columbia in 1968. Afterwards, Joe accepteda teaching position at Morehead State University, where he taught studio artuntil his retirement in 2000.SARAH CANOSarah has worked with OLLI at UK since 2010. She has taught Spanish at alllevels including, high school, at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, MoreheadState University and for OLLI. Sarah also taught English in Valencia, Spain fortwo years and English as a second language in Lincoln, Nebraska. Her maininterest at present is helping OLLI at UK grow.HELEN CHADWELLHelen is a member of OLLI Advisory Board and Co-Chair of the Promotion andMembership Committee. She is retired from St. Claire Regional Medical Centerwhere she worked as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist in the Chemistry Lab.LARRY DIXONLarry has more than forty years behind the lens photographing numerousweddings, creating images for Bluegrass record album covers and other fineimages. He served as the official photographer for the Marine Corps Reserve inFleming County for WWI hero Franklin Runyon Sousley’s memorial dedication.Larry is one of the six flag-raisers in the famous photograph of United StatesMarines raising the flag on Iwo Jima in World War II. He also spent a weekalongside National Geographic Photographer Karen Kasmauski as shephotographed a story for the magazine.Caudill Fellowshipfor Adults 65 and OlderCAROLYN FRANZINICarolyn grew up on a farm in Kansas where she learned to do everything fromraking hay, raising rabbits to making soap. She has always been very interestedin other cultures. She has traveled to numerous countries in Asia including tenvisits to China and living with farm families in Taiwan. Prior to retirement, sheworked in several areas in the field of education including alternative educationand food service administration. Carolyn discovered the value of stories bylistening to professional storytellers. She loves to inspire others to value andwrite their own stories.The Caudill Fellowship allows students, 65 andolder, to attend MSU at no cost. To be eligible forthe Caudill Fellowship, applicants must completethe application for admission to Morehead StateUniversity at uate/Apply-Now.
