Danielle Wagoner Chairman of the Board“Hastings is a special place” is a phrase I hear myself using time and again (as hokey as it sounds) and notbecause it’s a memorized response but because I truly believe it. Hastings is a place for community - a feelingof belonging. Hastings offers a place to learn, a place to grow and a place to make progress. Being at thefoundation of all of this are those who live, learn, and thrive here. At this foundation are those willing todonate their time, talents and treasurers to help others around them succeed and with no expectation ofreturn or personal benefit. Isn’t that the true definition of a good leader?Hastings is a place where change can begin and it starts with stand-up folks like those graduating from the2015-16 Leadership Hastings class. I visualize our program as a springboard for graduates. Please see Danielle Wagoner Chairman of the Board continue p. 8JOSHUA bERNSJoshua earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in May 2009from Hastings College where he majored in professionalaccounting.
