A Message FromYour ChairmanI’m feeling very good about getting back to an “in-person”meeting.This year we will have two sources for questions:1) In-person shareholders will be selected randomly to askwhatever they wish.2) Becky Quick, of CNBC, will curate questions fromnon-attending shareholders and use those she believeswill have the widest interest. Questions can be submittedto Becky at berkshirequestions@cnbc.com.We will alternate between Becky and the audience and, all told, willlikely handle about 60 questions. In the morning session, Vice Chairmen Charlie Munger, Ajit Jainand Greg Abel will be available to answer questions from both theaudience and Becky. Ajit handles insurance operations and Greg isin charge of all other operations. If questions are asked that arerelevant to either of these areas, Becky or the on-premisequestioner will get an answer from Ajit or Greg. Neither of them, however, will be available for questions at the afternoon session. The four of us will not get so much as a clue about the questionsto be asked. We know you and Becky will pick some tough onesand that’s the way we like it.There will be an 8:15a.m. drawing at each of the 11 microphonelocations to select shareholders who wish to ask “audience”questions.8

Microphone MannersWhen asking a question from a microphone zone, please: State your name and hometown. Ask your question promptly — speak loud & clear. Do not ask more than one question or attempt to“bundle” several questions together. Do not ask what we are buying or selling. Even if theinformation is public, we do not discuss how we arrive atour decisions. We also will not discuss politics. Any othersubjects are fair game.Important informationMeeting CredentialsYour Annual Meeting Credential is your “ticket” for enjoying theshareholder-only events and discounts over the weekend.
