We remained in this city for some days. 13On the sabbath day we wentoutside the gate by the river, where we supposed there was a place of prayer; and we sat downand spoke to the women who had gathered there. 14A certain woman named Lydia, a worshiperof God, was listening to us; she was from the city of Thyatira and a dealer in purple cloth. TheLord opened her heart to listen eagerly to what was said by Paul. 15When she and her householdwere baptized, she urged us, saying, “If you have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come andstay at my home.” And she prevailed upon us.ReaderPeopleThe Word of the Lord. Thanks be to God.Silence may follow.Page 4 of 17

PSALM: Psalm 67Remain seated.1May God be merciful to us and bless us, *show us the light of his countenance and come to us.2Let your ways be known upon earth, *your saving health among all nations.3Let the peoples praise you, O God; *let all the peoples praise you.4Let the nations be glad and sing for joy, *for you judge the peoples with equity and guide all the nations upon earth.5Let the peoples praise you, O God; *let all the peoples praise you.6The earth has brought forth her increase; *may God, our own God, give us his blessing.7May God give us his blessing, *and may all the ends of the earth stand in awe of him.SECOND READING: Revelation 21:10, 22--22:5The people sit.A Reading from the Revelation of John.10In the spirit [the angel] carried me away to a great, high mountain and showed me the holy cityJerusalem coming down out of heaven from God. 22I saw no temple in the city, for its temple isthe Lord God the Almighty and the Lamb. 23And the city has no need of sun or moon to shine onit, for the glory of God is its light, and its lamp is the Lamb. 24The nations will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their glory into it. 25Its gates will never be shut by day—andthere will be no night there. 26People will bring into it the glory and the honor of the nations.27But nothing unclean will enter it, nor anyone who practices abomination or falsehood, but onlythose who are written in the Lamb’s book of life.22:1Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, bright as crystal, flowing from thethrone of God and of the Lamb 2through the middle of the street of the city. On either side of theriver is the tree of life with its twelve kinds of fruit, producing its fruit each month; and theleaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. 3Nothing accursed will be found thereanymore. But the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and his servants will worship him;4they will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. 5And there will be no morenight; they need no light of lamp or sun, for the Lord God will be their light, and they will reignforever and ever.ReaderPeopleThe Word of the Lord. Thanks be to God.Silence may follow.Page 5 of 17

THE CREEDAll stand. We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all that is, seen and unseen. We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God,eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, of one Being with the Father.Through him all things were made. For us and for our salvation he came down from heaven:by the power of the Holy Spirit he became incarnate from the Virgin Mary, and was made man.For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate;he suffered death and was buried. On the third day he rose again in accordance with the Scriptures;he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end.We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son.With the Father and the Son he is worshiped and glorified. He has spoken through the Prophets. We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church. We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. PeopleCelebrantPeopleWe lift them to the Lord.Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.It is right to give him thanks and praise.CelebrantIt is truly right, and good and joyful, to give you thanks, all-holy God,source of life and fountain of mercy. But chiefly are we bound to praise you for the glorious resurrection of your Son Jesus Christ ourLord; for he is the true Paschal Lamb, who was sacrificed for us, and has taken away the sin ofthe world. By his death he has destroyed death, and by his rising to life again he has won for useverlasting life. Therefore, joining with Angels and Archangels and with the faithful of every generation, we liftour voices with all creation as we sing (say):SANCTUS S 130 Holy, holy, holy (Schubert/Proulx) (S 130)Page 10 of 17

Richards Proulx (b. 1937)Reprinted under riteplanning.com #SB157752, expires 3/31/2023, The Hymnal 1982The Celebrant continuesBlessed are you, gracious God, creator of the universe and giver of life. You formed us in yourown image and called us to dwell in your infinite love. You gave the world into our care that wemight be your faithful stewards and show forth your bountiful grace. But we failed to honoryour image in one another and in ourselves; we would not see your goodness in the worldaround us; and so we violated your creation, abused one another, and rejected your love. Yetyou never ceased to care for us, and prepared the way of salvation for all people.Through Abraham and Sarah you called us into covenant with you. You delivered us fromslavery, sustained us in the wilderness, and raised up prophets to renew your promise ofsalvation. Then, in the fullness of time, you sent your eternal Word, made mortal flesh in Jesus.Born into the human family, and dwelling among us, he revealed your glory. Giving himselffreely to death on the cross, he triumphed over evil, opening the way of freedom and life.Page 11 of 17

On the night before he died for us, Our Savior Jesus Christ took bread, and when he had giventhanks to you, he broke it, and gave it to his friends, and said: “Take, eat: This is my Bodywhich is given for you. Do this for the remembrance of me.” As supper was ending, Jesus tookthe cup of wine, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them, and said: “Drink this, all ofyou: This is my Blood of the new Covenant, which is poured out for you and for all for theforgiveness of sins. Whenever you drink it, do this for the remembrance of me.”Therefore we proclaim the mystery of faith:Celebrant and PeopleChrist has died.Christ is risen.Christ will come again. The Celebrant continuesRemembering his death and resurrection, we now present to you from your creation this breadand this wine. By your Holy Spirit may they be for us the Body and Blood of our Savior JesusChrist. Grant that we who share these gifts may be filled with the Holy Spirit and live as Christ’sBody in the world. Bring us into the everlasting heritage of your daughters and sons, that with[ and] all your saints, past, present, and yet to come, we may praise your Name forever. Through Christ and with Christ and in Christ, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, to you behonor, glory, and praise, for ever and ever. AMENAnd now, as our Savior Christ has taught us, we are bold to say,People and CelebrantOur Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever and ever. Amen.FRACTION ANTHEM S 164 Jesus, Lamb of God (Schubert/Proulx) (S 164)Page 12 of 17
