The Ark of the TestimonyThe Hebrew word, Arown, which is translated“ark” in Exodus 25:22 and Exodus 26:33literally means coffin. The Ark of Testimony inthe Holy of Holies is a coffin that is symbolic ofthe death of Jesus.Exodus 25:22 “And there I will meet with thee, andI will commune with thee from above the mercyseat, from between the two cherubims which areupon the ark of the testimony, of all things which Iwill give thee in commandment unto the children ofIsrael.”Exodus 26:33 “And thou shalt hang up the vailunder the taches, that thou mayest bring in thitherwithin the vail the ark of the testimony: and thevail shall divide unto you between the holy placeand the most holy.”Picture-Postage stamp,with a picture of the Ark,Published by Israel32.
