Because the max lodging allowance for Paris is 425, an Actual ExpenseAllowance (AEA) Justification Letter will be issued by the ODC France Chief.Depending on one’s local travel approval authority, the AEA JustificationLetter should allow visitors to use the increased lodging rate due to lack ofother options. IMPORTANT! - 4 Required Actions*** Please complete the following 4 steps in order ***Step #4- Apply for Visa and Submit your Country Clearance:All official DoD / US Government employees (military and civilian) are required to comply with the ForeignClearance Guide at https://www.fcg.pentagon.mil/ (on the left side of the webpage select USEUCOM France).Uniformed Service Members: Can travel to France on Official Passport & Visa or NATO Travel Orders Official Passport & Visa: For Visa information comply with the Foreign Clearance Guide. (or) NATO Travel Orders: Uniformed service members are allowed to travel on NATO orders with a valid military IDcard. Sample NATO Travel Orders can be found on the France country page of the Foreign Clearance Guide.DOD Civilians: Must travel to France on Official Passport & Visa Official Passport: DOD Civilians on official travel are required to enter France on no-fee passports (‘official’ or‘diplomatic’). If you do not have a valid no-fee passport, you must obtain one prior to your departure. Visas: DoD Civilians must obtain a no-fee visa to France for Eurosatory (does not apply to GovernmentContractors). Please review and comply with the DoD Foreign Clearance Guide.Country Clearances: All DoD official visitors (military and civilian) to France MUST submit a country clearancerequest through APACS at https://apacs.milcloud.mil/apacs/. The Defense Attaché Office (DAO) is responsible forapproving APACS. Questions regarding APACS should be directed to DAO at ParisDAO@state.gov There is a 21 day lead time to process country clearances. Country clearance requests should be processed as soon aspossible, but NLT 13 May 2018.When filling out your APACS, please use the words: ‘Eurosatory 2018’ as the purpose of your stay in France.Back to Top

*** Additional Important Information***Badges: To register for an ES 18 badge, please complete steps #1 & #2 above. Ensure you have a valid government ID with you to enter the tradeshow. Because the Eurosatory tradeshow hosts are using a different system for badgingthis year, it is uncertain yet whether ODC will have badges in advance. If ODCreceives the badges in advance they will be passed out at the Meridien HotelWelcome Desk on 10 June 0900-1500.ODC France Hotel Welcome Desk: ODC France Welcome Desk will be in the main lobby of Le Meridian Hotel (81Boulevard Gouvion-Saint-Cyr, 75017 Paris) 10 June 0900-1500. Reps from ODC will be there to answer questions and distribute welcomepackets (and badges if provided in advance) to all registered official DoD/US Govvisitors (regardless of whether you have a room reserved at Le Meridien Hotel).Back to Top

*** Additional Important Information***Uniform Policy Per EUCOM and AmEmb France regulations, public transport (metro/bus/train) is not authorized in uniform. ODC will provide daily bus transportation to/from Le Meridien Hotel and Eurosatory. Uniforms are authorized onODC buses. If required, travel by taxi/uber is authorized in uniform (approx 50 one-way), however it isrecommended to wear a civilian overcoat for Force Protection.Prescribed Uniforms The following Uniforms are prescribed per day: Note: if you prefer, Class A / SDBs can be worn the entire week.Day 1(11 Jun)Days 2-5(12-15 Jun)Army/Air ForceClass ANavySDBsUSMCService AKhakisService C(with jacket & tie)Class B(open collar, no tie) Note: The French military in the Paris region does not transition to summer uniforms – winter uniforms are wornyear around. Evening Events: Depending on the host/venue, evening events may be either in Class A/SDBs or civilian attire.Please consult the event invitation.Civilian Attendees: Routine daily attire is business suit with tie. *** Additional Important Information***Transportation Buses: Bus transportation will be provided each morning and afternoon,Monday-Thursday, between Le Meridien Hotel and the trade show. ODC buses will only transit to/from Le Meridien (no other hotels). Uniforms are allowed on the ODC busses. Bus transit to the show can take between 45-90 minutes depending ontraffic conditions. Note: Please DO NOT plan meetings at the show site prior to 0900. Accessto the site can not be guaranteed prior to 0900. Bus schedule will be disseminated closer to the Tradeshow dates. Public Transport: If using public transportation, plan approximately 1 houreach way from door-to-door.
