2006Tim Mobbs, a second generationelectrician founded M-Elec, initiallyoperating out of a small shed at theback of his property.2008M-Elec builds an LED profile with anopaque diffuser, which is installedinto Australia’s first purely LEDcommercial application.2010In 2010 we released the first wide beam, dimmable LEDdownlight when all others had narrow 35 degree beams,terribly designed lenses and multiple LED’s showing. Weintroduced simple things like adding interchangeabletrims and then in 2015 released the 1Box solution with 3colour outputs and 2 trims in the one box.2015M-Elec wins a Good Design Awardfor the unique packaging of'downlight in a bag’ made to aidcleanup and reduce waste.2016M-Elec releases it’s first version ofthe NOX series with great success dueit’s exceptional lumen output, offsetbracket and efficacy.

2017M-Elec launches the revolutionary tool-lessplugbase the Blindsnake. Blindsnake wins a reddot design award the same year.2017Always pushing further the team atM-Elec expands on the Blindsnaketechnology and launches the Rapid10 downlight.2018In an effort to better serve our customers ourold PLI system was given a revamp and becameM-World. M-World is rapidly expanding to offerour customers, an easy to use platform forwarranties, assets, resources, education, an opencommunity to discuss all things M-Elec and more.2018The XC Connector and connector systemis launched. A great example of ourinnovations being created specificallyto make electricians lives easier. The XC(eXchangeable Connection) system is justthat, a system created to make connectiontype the installers choice. Meaning replacingdrivers and using the right connection for thejob are that much easier. Do your job yourway.2019M-Elec is moving into the automation and smart technologymarket with a new product called Stitchy set for releasemid 2019. Keep your eyes peeled.
