Enjoy Yoga in the most picturesque settings of thefabled Upper Mustang, where we need a special permit to enter. As we venture in the high altitude regions,we slow down and immerse deeper into the understanding of Buddhism. We stay overnight in localteahouses, practice yoga at sunrise and enjoy Tibetan hospitality. Since this trek is challenging, the focus willbe on meditation and philosophy with a softer yoga practice.About Upper MustangTrekking in the Kingdom of Upper Mustang is quite similar to trekking in Tibetan high lands. The arid anddry terrain filled with colourful rock formations containing many cave dwellings high up in the cliffs, thewhitewashed settlements set amid fields of barley, impressive colourful chortens and ancient simplemonasteries reflect the abiding Buddhist culture. The terrain is striking - a semi-arid desert with deep ravinesand rock shelves flanked by snowy peaks. Upper Mustang possesses the topography and culture of Tibet, and its people still follow a lifestyle and heritage that is centuries old. The entire area has an isolated, deserted and mystical feel to it, enchanting and inspiring visitors to this region. The main attraction in UpperMustang is the walled city of four storey Lo-Manthang palaces. The countryside is similar to the Tibetan plateauwith its endless expanses of yellow and greyrolling hills eroded by the wind. There is more rainin the lower part of upper Mustang and the hillstend to be great red fluted cliffs of tiny roundstones cemented together by mud. Villages areseveral hours apart and appear in the distancealmost as mirages during the summer season. After the crops are planted, they are green oasesin the desert-like landscape.Day 1: Arrival Kathmandu (1400m)Namaste - welcome to Kathmandu!
