FacultyDr. Gautam Sen:I started my legal career in 2004 with a reputable law firm, Ballard SpahrAndrews & Ingersoll, in Washington, D.C. While working in Washington, D.C., Iwas involved in the administrative hearing process and associated pleadings andmotions. Moreover, I have interfaced with federal, state and local governmentagencies on behalf of my clients.During the years of 2006 through 2010, I practiced civil and criminal litigations,as well as bankruptcy in Arizona.Prior to becoming an attorney, I acted as a management liaison as well as aNuclear Licensing Manager, Nuclear Regulatory Affairs Division Manager, andSenior Counsel for a number of nuclear utilities, interfacing with federal andstate regulatory agencies, such as the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, the StateEnvironmental Protection Agency, the Department of Public Service of the State and other government agencies, tocoordinate and resolve legal, commercial, technical and safety-related issues for the protection of public health andsafety. My fun fact: my mother was a celebrity in India.Dr. Daniel Marco:Mr. Marco began his legal career working with his father in a small Ohio town. There hedeveloped work habits and singular concern for his client's rights. After his fatherretired, he moved to Las Cruces, New Mexico for one and one-half year stint at thePublic Defender's Office. Trying at least a felony jury trial every week, he quickly rose tothe top of the department. After a move to the state of Arizona, Mr. Marco suffered theunexpected loss of his eldest child, Zachary, who was to work as his law partner. Sincethen. Mr. Marco has opened a solo practice limited to pretrial personal injury and ispouring his considerable amount of passion into online teaching and camping. Mr.Marco wrote a book about his experiences following the death of his son called"Everywhere Nowhere: No One really Dies as Long as You're Alive." He is also apublished poet and is involved in charitable organizations such as Habitat forHumanity. Student Services added my fun fact: I was the inspiration for Dos Equi’sMost Interesting Man In The World.Amanda MacDonald:Hello! My name is Amanda MacDonald and I am the Curriculum Manager for BrightonCollege, and I also teach the Child Development course. I have my bachelor’s in EarlyChildhood Education and my Master’s in Educational Technology, both from Arizona StateUniversity go Sun Devils! I have worked in the field of education for over ten years in avariety of roles: tutor, teacher, curriculum developer, instructional designer, etc. When I amnot working, I love to play outdoors with my children and our big, fluffy Alaskan Malamutepuppy! I am excited to work at Brighton College and help my colleagues make our curriculumrelevant and engaging for all of our students! Thank you for choosing Brighton College!

Laree Fox:Laree Fox is a Registered Pharmacy Technician. With over 30 years of experience in thePharmacy setting she has seen the industry change drastically with the use of technology. Sheis currently employed as a compounding technician and marketer. (Which means she makesdrugs and then she sells them,). She enjoys helping people with complex medicationproblems. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and her grandchildren.Kathleen Gain:I have been a full time in-house legal nurse consultant for 18 years Phoenix,Arizona. I have a BSN from the University of Arizona and a Paralegal Certificatefrom Phoenix College. My clinical nursing background was in orthopedics,med/surg, emergency room and telemetry. I have three grown children and a dognamed Lalo. My interests include traveling, playing piano, singing karaoke andworking out at the gym.John Mares:John Mares attended Chaparral College in Tucson, Arizona and received both Associate andBachelor’s Degrees in Accounting. He also served in the United States Army as aFinance/Accounting Specialists. John recently graduated from the University of Phoenix with aMaster’s in Business Administration.John has worked in several fields in the accounting and finance areas that include: Non-ProfitOrganizations, Construction, Furniture Manufacturing, Retail, Local Municipal & CountyGovernments, and Solar Energy.Currently, John is self-employed with Accounting/Bookkeeping/Consulting business. He alsoteaches Business Courses as an adjunct instructor for two colleges, and helps with the CurriculumTeam. When John isn’t being a Jack-of-all-trades, he likes to travel the world as the World’sStrongest Man and style baby hedgehogs.Benjamin Lee:I began my career in technology as a technical writer and editor and am anexperienced IT systems lead in the educational technology field. I have been aprofessional educator since 1998 and earned a university degree in secondaryeducation. Prior to becoming an instructor of the tech courses at Brighton CollegeCybersecurity Institute, I taught privately and in secondary schools and tutored atthe university level. I love science, syntax, and well-organized data, and I writecomputer code, music, Chinese, poetry, and training manuals.

Suzin Marshall:Also, as mentioned by your success coach, I expect to see a minimum ofthree (3) submissions each week from any combination of writingassignments, quizzes, and/or discussion posts.Suzin Marshall graduated from University of Phoenix with her Bachelors inBusiness Management in 2007. She then continued her education to receivea Master’s degree in Business Administration to work in the field ofeducation. Suzin holds a position as a Quality Supervisor working inAerospace for over 30 years. Her career skill set is combined with Businessand Criminal Justice. She has been an active community volunteer for morethan 30 years. She mostly enjoyed her role as volunteer Bailiff at the PimaCounty Juvenile Courts, mentor and tutor to high risk juveniles. She hasalso received two prestigious awards from the LULAC Organization. Suzinrecently relocated to California to accept a promotion in management andcontinues her passion to work with students through Brighton College.Ultimately, her goal is to write a book when she partially retires as a businessinstructor, and in her free time, she is a dinosaur trainer at Jurassic Worldwith Chris Pratt and following up on her doctoral dissertation with Dr.Grant.Terri Randolph:My name is Terri Randolph. I currently hold a Bachelors Degreein Health Administration and I also hold a Masters Degree inBusiness Administration/Healthcare Management. I am aCertified Allied Health Instructor. I am a Certified Billing &Coding Specialist. I am a Certified Electronic Health RecordsSpecialist. I am a Certified Medical Administrative Assistant. Ihave twenty four years of healthcare experience and seventeen ofthose years have been in management. I have extensiveexperience in the areas of healthcare billing, collections,admitting, registration, insurance verification, priorauthorization, financial counseling, appeals, denials,reimbursement, credentialing, Clinic Management, contractingand coding. I am an evaluator for ACICS, ABHES, DEAC,ACCSC. I also have conducted book reviews, and sat on focusgroups for several textbook publishing companies. I am a grant reviewer for the Department of Health and HumanServices. I also sit on the healthcare division board for Paradigm Publishing, The College of Health Care Professionals(CHCP) and Stratford University. I am a member of the Alpha Beta Kappa Honor Society. I am a school boardmember for my son's school. I am also a member of HFMA (Healthcare Financial Management Association). FunFact: In my spare time, I volunteer at a Food Pantry.

Jessica Pitts:My name is Jessica Pitts and I was raised in Tucson, Arizona. My college journey beganby attending Northern Arizona University, in which I graduated with a Bachelor’s degreein Community Health. Upon graduation, I decided to continue my studies and received aMaster’s Degree in business. The accomplishment of my degrees helped me pursue acareer in the health care industry for over 10 years. Why do you teach? Simple, it’s agreat way to share my experience and help students to become successful in thehealthcare industry. Fun Fact: I am the inspiration behind Dr. Spencer Reid from theFBI’s Behavioral Analysis Unit.“Never give up on your dreams, and if you apply yourself, you can make any of those dreams a reality”. Really, it’s thatsimple.Joseph Mott:I began my career as an engineer in New York City after graduating from PrincetonUniversity (BSE) and obtained an advanced degree at the Polytechnic Institute ofNew York (MS). I moved to Arizona and attended ASU Law School with theintention of returning to the east coast as an engineer-plus-lawyer. Never wentback.I started at a Phoenix law firm that practiced the new “computer law” on a nationalscale, representing the giant IBM and recent start-ups Apple Computer andIntegrated Electronics (Intel). We fought with Microsoft over computer interfacecopyrights and with the Beatles over the “Apple” trademark. New York didn’t offermore excitement than that. Over the last 35 years, with two major Phoenix firms,my practice has been counseling and litigation with a major emphasis onintellectual property – patents, copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets – andassociated business issues.Today I practice patent and IP law in a boutique intellectual property firm inScottsdale. I like to read about black holes and about quantum entanglement.Sandy Gilbert:I hold a BA in Sociology, MS in Psychology, and M.Ed. with extra 18 hours inCounseling. I have been teaching at the community college level for 5 years. I grew up inthe Air Force, mostly in the southeast. I graduated from the University of Arizona andstayed for 20 years! I enjoy being outside, biking, hiking, working in the yard.

Gail Barsky:Gail Barsky has dedicated her legal career to handling thousands ofPersonal Injury cases from the pre-litigation stage through jury trialand is licensed to practice law in Arizona and Pennsylvania. AttorneyBarsky has expertise in personal injury, products liability, premisesliability and automobile law, and she has gained valuable civil lawexperience from both sides of the courtroom representing plaintiffsand defendants. Fun fact: she actively raised money for breast cancerresearch after four of her friends were diagnosed with breast cancer,including being awarded, “The Number #1 Individual fund-raiser ForCity of Hope nationally.”Student ServicesSean Dixon:Sean Dixon, the Director of Student Services at Brighton College who works with nontraditional students to help them gain employability. Sean believes in assisting allstudents gain career skills to help accelerate them in their career and life throughserving the needs of each individual. Sean has earned his Bachelor’s in BusinessManagement through Grand Canyon University with aspirations of returning forGraduate School.Diane Bates:Diane, or just Di (like the princess), came to Brighton College as a business partnershipemployee from Deseret Industries, and Brighton liked her so much, they hired her as apermanent employee. Di doesn’t like talking about herself, but she is an accomplishedsinger, having been trained in Opera and will be performing for the SECOND time atCarnegie Hall in July, 2019. Her fun fact (yes, something different than what was justmentioned) is in 1976, Di sang for Pope Paul VI at the Vatican in the Sistine Chapel.

Kaitlin Gerth:Kaitlin is a 2011 graduate of Bellarmine University with a Bachelor’s Degree inSociology, and a 2013 graduate of Southern Illinois University-Carbondale with aMaster’s Degree in Education. She serves as Brighton College’s Student ServicesCoordinator, faculty liaison, and social media marketer. She is the Student SuccessCoach for the LNC program, Paralegal Studies program, CompTIA program, and thecontact for our IEM students and their counselors. Kaitlin moved to Phoenix at the tailend of 2016 with her brand-new husband solely because it doesn’t snow in the winterlike her native Illinois. She is a classically-trained musician, a professional mermaiddancer, and enjoys reading conspiracy theories.
