AICwas purchased by Quest Education Corp. in November 1998 and in2April 2000 changed its name to Quest College. Quest EducationCorp. was purchased in July 2000 by Kaplan, Inc. In November2000, the name of the College was changed to Kaplan College. The UAH Salmon Library is afully appointed university library with a collection of over 325,000volumes along with collections of U.S. government documents,materials in microform and microfiche, and manuscript collections.The library currently receives over 20,000 serials and periodicals.The library’s catalog is available online, and students can easily accessa description of any item in the collection. Library books can thenbe delivered physically to borrowers; articles and excerpts can bescanned and delivered electronically. This program is a collaborative effort between Kaplan HigherEducation Campuses (KHEC) and Kaplan University. In this program, Kaplan University personnel are located on existing KHECschools, such as Hamilton College in Iowa. Each KU on Campus locationprovides the student with onsite Academic Advising services, onsitelibrary access, a student lounge, and computer labs, in addition to theonline services available through Kaplan University.Online PlatformKaplan University’s online platform is located on the Internet atwww.kaplan.edu. It is supported by a large farm of Web serversconfigured redundantly to assure uninterrupted, around-the-clockoperation.
