Letter From ChairMay 18, 2016Dear NCCs, NRHH CCs, and GLACURH RBD members:During my time at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE), I haveworked heavily within housing. When I was a freshman, I took on the position ofthe Residential Housing Association (RHA) Representative for the Woodland AreaCouncil. With this position, my fellow Woodland housing members and I were ableto provide students with activities within the residence hall. Also with my position,I was able to work directly with RHA to host other events around campus andprovide information to students through forums. This coming year, I will take overthe position of RHA President as a sophomore, in which I hope to increase thestudent-life involvement on campus and better the advertising for theorganization’s activities. Not only has joining RHA and Woodland Area Council improved my time spent atcollege, but it also has enhanced who I am. Due to these groups, my abilities to leadhave increased, as I have had time to work on my time management, organization, speaking, and collaboration with others. With my experiences, I am ready for myfuture responsibilities as a student leader.SIUE is ready to host No Frills 2017. Along with me, this university has moldedmany well-prepared leaders and can provide the space, help, enthusiasm, andresources for the conference. Even though No Frills is a huge responsibility, we atSIUE will handle it with confidence. I will work in a dedicated, determined, anddiligent manner to make sure the event will run smoothly and find reliable peopleto help me with the mission. We appreciate your consideration.Sincerely,Luke MolenRHA President and Conference ChairPage 2
