Successful companies have come to rely on this AWS certification to ensure the highest level ofquality workmanship.The examination is based on three parts: Part A – Fundamentals, Part B – Practical, and Part C – Code Application.Please read the following important materials carefully before applying for the CWI exam: Welding Inspector Exam Application AWS Certification Schedule CWE Welding Instructor Credentials Certification Price List Visual Acuity Record AWS Exam Cancellation RefundPolicies and other Fees CWI Body of Knowledge QC1:2007, Standard for AWSCertification of Welding InspectorsTo qualify for examination registration, a Welding Inspector Exam Application and the required supportingdocumentation must be submitted and approved. Applications with incomplete or missing information will beconsidered unqualified unless the missing documentation can be provided within two (2) week of being notified (viatelephone or email) that their application is incomplete. If the applicant fails to meet the qualification criteria for theexam, the exam fee (or the exam portion of a seminar/exam package fee) will be refunded minus a processing fee.Purchasing a seminar package that includes the cost of the exam does not automatically ensure registration for theexam. If applying for the seminar and the examination, applicants will automatically be registered for the seminar, butapproval for the exam is contingent upon meeting the examination registration criteria.The standard processing time is six weeks and applicants will be notified by an exam confirmation package.AWS cannot guarantee space at an exam site if the application has not been received in a timely manner and has notbeen processed and/or approved by the Certification Department. When circumstances do not permit meeting theregistration deadlines, fast track processing is available at an additional fee.
