THE COMPETITION IS OPEN TO ALL CONDUCTORS, WITHOUT NATIONALITY OR AGE LIMITATION2. STRUCTURE OF THE COMPETITION2.1 Eliminatory Round: applications are made through video and CV submission bycandidates, application deadline is 1 May 2016. The number of participants at the Eliminatory Roundis not limited. The Eliminatory Round will be held by video & cv analyse by the Juri. The decision willbe communicated until May 8 20162.2 Presencial Rounds: the rest of the competition will be held in the city of Esposende and consist of:1º Round: 2 Pianos, 27 and 28 july2º Round: 2 Pianos, 29 july3º Round: Piano & soloist, 30 july4º Round - Semifinal: Chamber Ensemble, 31 july5º Round - Final: Symphony Orchestra, 1 august3. 34. THE COMPETITION4.1. Eliminatory Rounda) Submit a video recording of one piece or excerpt at your own choice, maximum length is 15mwithout any video cut or edition. Conductor must be face front to camera;b) You may send a recording conducting piano or any kind of ensemble or orchestra (including windorchestra);c) Copy and paste the video link in the application form4.2. Presencial Roundsa) The First Round is open to a maximum of 60 conductors, each will have 15m max. to conduct thepieces indicated. Conductors must be prepared to conduct any part part from the works listed.1º Round: 2 PianosBeethoven – Symphony 3 Eroica (1º mov)Brahms – Symphony 4 (4º mov)Stravinsky - Dumbarton Oaks (1º mov)b) The Second Round is open to a maximum of 20 conductors, each will have 20m max. to conductthe pieces indicated. 5c) In the case of award ex-aequo prizes , the prize money will be divided among the laureates;d) The jury's decisions are final and not subject to appeal;e) The candidates will by submitting their application hand over all rights of recordings to the Promoter,this includes all pictures taken on- and off stage. The candidates will also by submitting theirapplication give their permission and approval to the Promoter to use the candidates’ names andpictures in press releases.
