The Great Flood of 2019 In late June, extensive flooding resultedin significant damage to Trinity’s facilities located on the building’slower level. While these areas have been susceptible to water damagein the past, the intensity of this recent storm caused water damage totile floors, rugs, walls and furniture. This damage impacted facilitiesused for the Trinity Nursery School, Church School, Care ’n ShareShop, choir and storage.Initial clean-up progressed quickly and a scope of work for the necessaryimprovements was finalized in July. This work involves new flooring, sheetrockreplacement and painting, a new French drain and associated electrical and plumbingwork. These renovations are proceeding with a goal of project completion in earlySeptember, in time for the start of the Nursery School fall semester. The cost of thisproject is approximately 175,000, with only 25,000 being reimbursed throughinsurance coverage. As much of the finish work as possible will be done by churchmember volunteers to help contain costs. While the new French drain will help alleviate some of the lower level water, mold, odor issues, another major storm event could still impact the buildings lower levels even after these improvements. The Church is working closely with the State ofNew Jersey as they design the drainage improvements associated with the workscheduled for Rt. 70 next year. The cost of this necessary project will significantly impact Trinity’s limitedfinancial resources. Please pray for your elders as we explore options for funding ofthis project.Trinity Women Join your Trinity sisters in celebrating a return tothe church year, with a fall BBQ, catered by Whole Hog Café inCherry Hill, as well as entertainment by the Sweet Adeline’sJersey Sound women’s chorus, and a mission presentation byBlue-Line Brothers Blankets, started by our very own Trinityyouth, Gavin and Jaret Ritter. This all takes place here at Trinity on:Date: Tuesday, October 1stTime: 6:30 PMPlace: Trinity’s Fellowship HallTickets are 15 and go on sale September 8, 15, 22, 29 after worship in FellowshipHall.
