.Articulation AgreementFOR A TRANSFER PROGRAM BETWEENSchool of BusinessMiami-Dade Community CollegeandCollege of Business AdministrationFlorida International University* * *The purpose of this agreement is to enhance the process of transfer of the graduates of theAssociate in Science (AS) in Business Administration from Miami-Dade CommunityCollege (M-DCC) to the Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) with a major inManagement at Florida International University (FlU). This agreement shall establish theconditions under which students from M-DCC shall progress to a junior year status as aBusiness Management major at FlU. In addition, the agreement shall include theformation of mechanisms for the ongoing monitoring and review of articulation progressand adherence to the conditions.1. Program of Study1.1Participating students shall complete at M-DCC An AS degree in Business Administration All the specified courses in the Appendix1.2All the courses specified in the Appendix are transferable to FlU. Therefore,participating students will be able to complete at FlU a program of study in a time whichequals approximately the number of hours required in the junior and senior years of thedegree program being sought.2. Admission and Readmission2.1M-DCC is an open-admissions institution that assesses the holders of a highschool diploma (or equivalent) wishing to enter this program and places them intocourses on the basis of their academic background and/or demonstrated experience inspecific courses. Applicants may be required to participate in the M-DCC assessmentprogram.2.2A student completing the program of study in 1.1 will be guaranteed admissionwith junior standing to the Business Management major at FlU if the conditionsof admission under "3.4: Conditions of admission: AS students" are met.

3. Condition of Admission3.1So as to assure the admission and academic success of participating students, M DCC and FlU agree to develop, maintain, and improve continuously a programmanagement and reporting system.3.2FlU will 3.3FlU's Management track for AS students will consist of 66 to 68 hours (excludingforeign language deficiencies) 3.4Accept M-DCC's model of64 hours intact including the Labs: ACG 2021L,ACG 2071L, and QMB 2100LEstablish a tracking system in Management for AS studentsNew Business CORE (33 hours)New major requirements (21 hours)One of the two electives used for their General Education deficiency (3 hours)One of the two electives for a Business elective (3/4000 level)Two courses in General Education plus lab(s) ifrequired to complete theirGeneral Education deficiencyConditions of admission: AS students Are strongly encouraged to satisfy the math and English section of theCLAST prior to transfer Will meet the 2.25 admission GPA as all other management majors Must earn a "C" or higher in all business pre-core courses Will be admitted as "Intended Majors" until the number of General Educationdeficiencies are 6 hours or less and the CLAST is completed Will have to meet all General Education deficiencies, prerequisite, pre-core,etc. ifthey wish to change their major4. Termination!Modification4.1This Articulation Agreement is subject to change or modification by mutualwritten consent between the parties hereto.4.2This Articulation Agreement may be terminated by either party upon writtennotice to the other party given at least one year in advance of such termination date.However, it is understood and agreed that any student participating in the AS in BusinessAdministration at M-DCC specifically tracked for admission to FlU or already admittedto FlU due to this agreement will be allowed to complete the program notwithstandingthe termination provisions above, so long as the student remains in good academic ·standing and is making measured progress towards completion of a degree program.
