OPENING COMMENTS: President Ralph Callander opened the meet-ing at 7:00PM. We get gift certificates fromCraft Supply and Ralph encouraged us topurchase from them. Their web site iswww.woodturnerscatalog.com Ralph encourages everyone to join AAW,and said the magazines alone is worth it.All old issues can be found online for members. AAW membership and information canbe found at www.woodturner.org. If ten of moremembers attend an AAW Symposium, a discount is given to those who attend.March 2019 Events:o March 23rd 2019 - Native Plant Dayat Bill Sadowski Park, 17555 SW 79thAve, Palmetto Bay, FL 33157-6250.Ralph is looking into the logistics.More information to follow. Ten percent of Sales will be donated to theNative Plant Societyo March 31st, 2019 - Deering EstateSeafood Festival. We will only beable to use one 10’ x 20’ tent to be divided for both Sales and Demonstration. Ralph is looking into the logistics. More information to follow. TenPercent of Sales will be donated tothe Guild.Guidelines were sent out to all membersbefore before each event.Bob Hazel recently talked to DavidFreundlich and set his regards to themembers.Don Van de Hei is having trouble gettingmembers to volunteer for MonthlyDemonstrations. Don started this yearsdemo on Hollowing, because he couldnot get someone from the club. DavidGolzbein volunteered to demo this year.Need more volunteers. Ralph thanked Dave Piper for the workthat he does on the Website, Roster,meeting minutes, newsletter draft andemail distribution list current and accurate. David Freundlich mentioned workingwith the Parks Service for a “Donation ofTime program”. More to follow. Don mentioned that their are some otherevents at the Fruit and Spice Park thatcould be attended by the Guild.o Redland International Orchid Festivalin May. Will Riley will look into the logistics.o Redland Grow Fest in October. DavePiper will look into the logistics. Hewas approached at the Heritage festival for participation.NEW BUSINESS: Ralph will be contacting Scott Neufeld,Robert Morgan High School/EducationalSchool on having the Guild give ademonstration on turning to the School.More info to follow.Ralph has gotten feedback from members on what should be sold at ourevents. We need to get back to Sellingat our events, only Turned Items on aLathe, based on the (‘Info to Vendors”)OLD BUSINESS: Ralph passed around a sign up sheet forboth events, and received a good response.Page - 1We are looking for a volunteer to takeover the Librarian duties for the GuildsDVDs. If we cannot find a member totake of the duties of Jack Sawyer they

will be raffled off at the Bring Back.Jack now videos and edits our demosand uploads them to our website. We need members to volunteer for Demos for 2019. The member who gives ademo will receive a 10 Craft SupplyGift Certificate.
