Cost considerations! Grad school is much more expensive! A certification plus Bachelor’s Degree to start; work for anemployer that will pay for your grad school.Grad Schoolvs.Certification However, HR professionals who hold a graduate degree tend tomake 25,000 to 30,000 more than those with undergrad degreesonly. Individuals who invest in an HR master’s degree will likelycover the cost of their additional education and the income lostwhile attaining it after five or six years. Several years ofprofessional-level experience is still expected, though, even with adegree and certification. If you go the grad school route, be sure to do internships or workin HR while in school, as it will be exceedingly difficult to get an HRjob with no HR-specific experience. Becoming certified demonstrates that you are familiar with themost current core practices and principles indigenous to the field. Many companies perceive hiring individuals who have attained HRcertification as an advantage. From Should you get an HR Certification or a Graduate Degree? - Human Resources Degrees (humanresourcesmba.net)
