Single words may be combined when necessary if there is no abbreviation listedfor the combination. For example, the abbreviation for “battery” and the abbreviation for“alarm” may be combined to form the word combination “BATT ALM.” Authorized wordcombinations shall be used as such and shall not be separated for use singularly.
