Let your Points look after themselvesIf you’ve been tempted by some of the rewards that we have to offer– and want us to send you vouchers automatically for your selectedretailer, or donate to charity – simply tell us and we can redeem yourPoints for you.Automatic Redemption is a convenientway of redeeming Points without havingto claim them each time. HSBC Premier Credit Card Reward Points RulesWe have summarised information on yourHSBC Premier Reward Points (Points) foryou in the following Points Rules: Pleasenote that all of the following rules apply tothe Premier Credit Card alongside the HSBCPremier Credit Card Agreement Terms, plusany additional terms we may have providedin relation to your associated Premier cardbenefits.1. You must hold an HSBC Premier Credit Cardissued by HSBC Bank plc. No other cards areeligible.2. You will automatically earn Points accordingto the amount you spend. Earn 1 point forevery 1 (including any tax) of eligible spendin Sterling currency and earn 2 points for every 1 (including any tax) of eligible spend in nonSterling currency. Sterling currency includestransactions made in the UK, Jersey, Guernseyand Isle of Man as well as transactionsoverseas where you choose to pay in Sterlingrather than local currency.3. Points will be earned for purchases ofgoods or services, by you or any additionalcardholder, using your HSBC Premier CreditCard (Eligible Spending). Points will be earnedon the amount debited to your HSBC PremierCredit Card account in pounds sterling for allEligible Spending.4. The following items do not count as EligibleSpending: interest, late payment charges orany other charges added to your statement;Cardholder Repayment Protector insurancepremiums charged to your account; cashadvances including foreign money andtravellers cheque purchases; any balancesfrom other credit or charge cards which aretransferred to your card; ATM withdrawals andgambling transactions.5. Your HSBC Premier Credit Card statements(Statement) will show Points earned duringthe Statement period. Points relating toany refunds will be deducted. Points canbe redeemed after they are shown on yourStatement.146. A total of the Points earned, Pointsredeemed and Points deducted will appear oneach Statement issued. When redeeming yourPoints, we will deduct the Points earned bydate order so that the earliest accrued Pointswill be redeemed first.7. Points can be redeemed for up to threeyears from the month that they are first shownon your Statement. After that they will expireand be deducted on a monthly basis and youwill lose the benefits of these Points.8. You can also redeem Points for items whichwe will tell you about from time to time.Additional terms and conditions may apply tosome or all of the items and we will provideyou with these when we detail the itemsavailable.9. Points are redeemed by following theinstructions in the Reward Points brochure.10. Points earned cannot be transferred toanother person.11. If you choose to redeem Points for anyitem detailed in the Reward Points brochurebut do not have enough Points, we reservethe right to charge you the retail price of theitem to your card or a combination of Pointsand cash.12. Unless we inform you otherwise, itemsordered will normally be delivered to theprimary Cardholder’s main UK address,as appearing on the Statement, within 20days. Most items ordered will be deliveredfree of any charge. A charge may be madefor delivery to non-mainland UK addresses(including the Isle of Man) and we will notifyyou of this at the time of order, if applicable. Ifany goods offered under the programme areunsuitable for delivery to your address, you willbe responsible for collecting the goods fromsuch UK address as we notify you.13. All goods and services supplied will becovered by the manufacturer’s or supplier’snormal terms of business. Except wherethe law provides otherwise, we will not beresponsible for the quality or suitability ofthe goods or services, or for any delay indelivery. You should take up any complaint bytelephoning the number shown in the Reward
Points brochure for your requested item or bycontacting us on 03457 70 70 70.14. If your account is closed, no further Pointswill be earned. All remaining Points must beredeemed within 30 working days of closure.We reserve the right to deduct any Points leftat the end of this period. If you have chosen toredeem Points automatically, this will happenat that time. If we close your account, we mayask you to use your Points within 30 days ofus advising you of the account closure.15. Where the card facility has beenwithdrawn as a result of you breaking theterms of your card agreement with us, we willbe entitled to deduct all Points, leaving youwith a nil Points total.16. We may at our discretion change thenumber of Points you earn for your EligibleSpending or the period during which you mustuse your Points, by giving you at least 30days written notice, which includes statementmessages.17. Any income or other taxes and dutieswhich may become payable are yourresponsibility and we make no representationsregarding the current or future tax implicationsof earning or using the Points under theprogramme.18. We may, at any time, develop specialpromotions where you may earn Points underdifferent conditions. Points given under thesepromotions will be referred to as Bonus Pointsand will have their conditions disclosed to theParticipants.19. We may terminate the programme atany time by giving you at least 30 workingdays written notice. You must use anyoutstanding Points within 30 working days ofthe termination date or we will be entitled todeduct them all, leaving you with a nil Pointstotal.21. In the event of your death, your nominatedadditional cardholder is the only person whocan use the Points you have earned, subject tosome exceptions, please refer to any additionalterms for details.22. We will only investigate queries concerningPoints earned, Points used or other mattersaffecting your Points total, communicatedto us within three months of the date of thestatement, which relates to the enquiry.23. We may vary these rules at our discretionby giving you at least 30 working days writtennotice, which includes statement messages.24. Where we are affected by circumstancesbeyond our reasonable control, we reservethe right to withdraw at any time and withoutnotice, any items shown in the Reward Pointsbrochure, change the Points value and/ or thePoints plus cash price of items. Where wechoose to make such changes and these arewithin our control, we will give you at least 30working days written notice, which includesstatement messages.The HSBC Premier Credit Card Reward Pointsare provided and administered by Card ServiceDelivery, PO Box 6001, Coventry CV3 9FP.25. HSBC Premier Reward Points can beredeemed for Miles via Online Banking.These are redeemed at a rate of two Pointsfor one ‘Mile’.
