Translational scientists forming the faculty of thismeeting are in the forefront of developing therapies to help treatthese disorders; these therapies will eventually become worldwidestandards for neurogenetics. The Department of Neurology'sannual symposium will provide the intended audience informationto apply to their work.INTENDED AUDIENCENeurologists, healthcare providers, allied health workers, residents (currentand former), fellows, and studentsSYLLABUS MATERIALSOBJECTIVESUpon completion of this program the learner should be able to: Discuss the basic pathophysiology of various disease states includingrheumatology, endocrinology, and hematology/oncology. Describe clinical pearls that aid in treatment and/or diagnosis of allergy/immunology, palliative medicine, and pain management. Compare and contrast the safety and efficacy of treatment options available forvarious disease states. Develop an evidence-based treatment plan for various disease states based onrecent clinical practice guidelines.
