He is 41-6 in OVC play.Grass’ unprecedented start to his collegiate head coaching careerhas seen the 1990 JSU graduate win five-straight OVC titles, while alsobecoming the first person to claim the Roy Kidd OVC Coach of the YearAward outright in three-straight seasons. He is also the first FCS coach to benamed the AFCA’s Region Coach of the Year in five-straight seasons and wasthe first Gamecock in Division I to be voted the AFCA’s National Coach of theYear in 2015.He served as JSU’s offensive coordinator on Bill Clark’s staff in 2013before being promoted to the head coach after one season.Prior to coming to JSU in 2013, Grass was head coach at Oxford (Ala.)High School from 2008-2012, where he posted five straight winning seasons and a 41-16 record.
