Don't miss out - Order today!!New PM Carline Procedure:We began to implement our new afternoon carline policy/procedure this week to ensure that all of ourstudents are safe. Remember, if a student is to ride home with someone other than their regular caregiver, the teacher must have written or verbal confirmation from the parent or guardian. Those changes will beon a daily grade level list, which will be given to a grade level teacher on duty in the gym during PMcarline. If your child’s name isn’t on this list with the carline change, the child WILL NOT be placed inthe person’s car. The person picking up will be asked to pull around to the front office and the office willcall the parent/guardian to confirm this person has permission to pick up your child. If you know thatyour child will have a PM carline change, I would advise you to write a note, send an email, or call theteacher the day before. Often it is difficult for teachers to check their email or voicemail during the daywhen they are teaching. If it is an emergency or last minute change, please call the front office and thefront office staff will let the teacher know so that the student is added to the grade level list. Weappreciate your help and support implementing this new procedure so that all students are safe!IMPORTANT DATES:Friday, February 24: 2nd Trimester Report Cards to go homeTuesday, March 1: Kindergarten In-School Field Experience with Science Fun for EveryoneThursday, March 2: 2nd Grade Field Trip to the Museum of Life & ScienceThursday, March 9: Voyager Lottery @ 5:00 PM in the MS GymMonday, March 13: Required Teacher Workday/No School for StudentsTuesday, March 14: K – 3 New Student Tour @ 10:30 - Only for students admitted in the lotteryThursday, March 16: Pennies for Patients Fundraiser The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS)Assembly for K – 3 at 2:15 in the ES Gym: http://www.lls.org/Friday, March 17: PTO Game Night @ 6:30 in the VAES GymMonday, March 20 – Friday, March 31: Pennies for Patients LLS FundraiserSaturday, March 25: Science Olympiad Team A Tournament in RaleighThursday, March 30 & Friday, March 31: K Field Experience at Duke Gardens
