Programme. The Department as per Guidelines of UGCwill offer the Programme in Five branches (Constitutional & Administrative Law. Business &Corporate Law. International Law & Human Rights. Science & Technology Law and CriminalLaw). However, the department may exercise its discretion to offer any branch depending uponfeasibility.Applicability of Rules and RegulationsThe Programme is governed as per the rules framed by the Savitribai Phule Pune University forCredit and Semester System prevailing in the University for its Post Graduate Departments withsuitable changes by the Department wherever necessary for the implementation of theprogramme as per the guidelines of the UGC (for one year LL.M).LL.M: (Semester and Credit System).Eligibility: Graduate in law of a Statutory University (Bachelor of Laws: 3 years/5 years)Total Number of Seats: 120Reservation of Seats: As per the rules of Savitribai Phule Pune University and Government ofMaharashtra.The foreign students shall be admitted as per the norms of the University.Duration: One Year (Full Time Course)Admission:1. The Admission shall be on the basis of Merit obtained in the Entrance Test and Marksobtained in qualifying examination i.e. 5 years B.A.LL.B./ 3 years LL.B Degree forSavitribai Phule Pune University studentsand for other than Savitribai Phule PuneUniversity students the admission shall be on the basis of Merit Obtained in the EntranceTest only.1

2. Admission of the candidate will be confirmed only if he /she produce the followingdocuments in original and two photocopies of the same. Proof of date of birth: SSC & HSC Certificate. Statement of marks of all the 5 years/ 3 years LL.B Degree examination. Caste Certificate and Creamy Layer Certificate, if applicable. Transfer Certificate. Migration Certificate, if applicable. Domicile Certificate those who leave within Maharashtra3. The students shall confirm their admission by paying the total fees on or before theprescribed date.4. Ragging in any form is prohibited and is an offence governed by MaharashtraProhibition of Ragging Act. 1999 and UGC Regulations 2009. Ragging within or outsideeducational institution is prohibited and is an offence.5. Punishment for ragging is Imprisonment up to 2 years & / or fine up to Rs. 10,000/convicted of offence of Ragging shall be dismissed from the Department and will not beeligible for admission in any other educational institution for a period of 5year.6. As per UGC norms LL.M (One Year) course is full time regular course. No student shallbe employed, self employed or practice in any court of law, during the period of study.The student shall submit an undertaking to this effect.7. In case of any dispute with respect to process of admission, decision of the Universityshall be final and binding.The examination, evaluation and other norms of improvement of grades will be governedas per the norms of the credit system of the University Departments.Award of the Degree: As per the new regulations of the LL.M.2
