Dogs that are blind or deafshall not be eligible. No dog shall compete if it is taped or bandagedin any way or has anything attached to it for medical purposes.Dogs under 6 months of age are not permitted on show grounds.checks do not constitute a valid entry. A charge of 25 will be made for each returned check. SITE INFORMATIONProtocols & ProceduresDue to the Covid‐19 virus pandemic we have had to make somechanges and add procedures to enable us to hold the obedience trialas safely as possible. We will be following the mandates set by theState of New York as well as the protocols set by the SuffolkObedience Board. Due to the continuously changing nature of thepandemic, please realize that some changes may be necessary priorto the trial. If any changes are required, the new protocols andprocedures will be communicated to you by the trial secretary. Masks, which fully cover your mouth and nose, are requiredat all times in the building, including when exhibiting yourdog, if not fully vaccinated. Masks, which fully cover your mouth and nose, are stronglyrecommended for vaccinated individuals. Temperature checks will be performed as you enter thefacility. If your temperature is normal, you will be issued awristband that is to be worn for the day. Social distancing of at least 6 feet is required while in thefacility. Frequent hand washing/sanitizing is recommended. The number of persons inside the facility and in each areawill be limited. Only the dog competing and the next dog inthe ring will be allowed in the facility. There will be no spectators permitted at this time. Exhibitors shall wait outside at a safe distance until trialpersonnel indicates they may enter the facility. We will allow handlers to enter the building to use therestroom facilities. Handlers may be asked to wait outsideuntil others have exited to ensure we have not exceeded theallowed count of persons in the facility. There will be NO CRATING of exhibitor's dogs in the building. There will be no food or water provided. Everyone shouldbring their own food/water for themselves and their dogs.Instructions shall be given at briefings and posted throughout theshow site. If you feel ill for any reason, PLEASE stay home. Anyperson not cooperating or complying with the trial protocols shall beexcused from the trial site and NO REFUND shall be issued. We aredoing our best to ensure everyone has a safe and fun weekend. In consideration ofthe acceptance of this entry and of the holding of this event and of the opportunity to have the dog judged and to win prizes, ribbons, ortrophies, I (we) agree to hold the AKC, the event-giving club, their members, directors, governors, officers, agents, superintendents orevent secretary and the owner and/or lessor of the premises and any provider of services that are necessary to hold this event and anyemployees or volunteers of the aforementioned parties, and any AKC approved judge, judging at this event, harmless from any claim forloss or injury which may be alleged to have been caused directly or indirectly to any person or thing by the act of this dog while in or aboutthe event premises or grounds or near any entrance thereto, and I (we) personally assume all responsibility and liability for any such claim;and I (we) further agree to hold the aforementioned parties harmless from any claim for loss, injury or damage to this dog. Additionally,I (we) hereby assume the sole responsibility for and agree to indemnify, defend and save the aforementioned parties harmless fromany and all loss and expense (including legal fees) by reason of the liability imposed by law upon any of the aforementioned parties fordamage because of bodily injuries, including death at any time resulting therefrom, sustained by any person or persons, including myself(ourselves), or on account of damage to property, arising out of or in consequence of my (our) participation in this event, however such,injuries, death or property damage may be caused, and whether or not the same may have been caused or may be alleged to havebeen caused by the negligence of the aforementioned parties or any of their employees, agents, or any other person. I (we) agree thatthe determination of whether the injury is serious shall be made by the event veterinarian and is binding on me (us).
