Within this framework, I conduct quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-methods research to identify factors associated with optimal HIV prevention (e.g., pre-exposureprophylaxis [PrEP] uptake and adherence), effective and efficient linkage to HIV care, and sustained retention and reengagement in HIV treatment. Informed by over 25 years’ experience as a licensed social work clinician, my researchleverages the inherent skills of the social worker to uniquely deliver evidence-based interventions; it is routinely communityplaced and community-driven. Simultaneously, my work evaluates implementation in real-world clinical and communitysettings to shorten the gap between what is known and how it is efficiently and effectively translated by individuals who willuse or are most in need.5Updated March 2022
