DEGREE REQUIREMENTSAs a PhD candidate at ISM, you may complete your degree requirements through a combination of courses inParis, programs in other locations, and e-learning. You must complete the Capstone Case Analysis and a doctoraldissertation, and we recommend you do at least 25% of your coursework in person at one of our globallocations.Required Research Methods CourseworkSummary of all PhD requirementsCoursework is central to both the PhD program and your ISMexperience. SPECIALIZATIONSThe core PhD curriculum equips you with the research methods you need to write a doctoral dissertation, writeresearch papers and /or studies of publishable quality, and oversee student research. Beyond this core, youmust validate 18 credits of multidisciplinary coursework, choosing from six specialization options. All optionsother than International Business require you to validate nine credits or more of coursework in a specificdiscipline. All six options represent the same number of credits and roughly the same investment of time SHIPAND INNOVATIONEnhance your knowledge of a wide rangeof topics and disciplines relevant tointernational business. Beyond the corecurriculum, you may take any doctoral-levelcourse as an International Business elective.Choose this option for in-depthknowledge of finance, accounting, andvaluation beyond the core curriculum.
