STEPHEN G.Stephen Girard Wentworth, the founder ofWentworth Military Academy, was born atWilliamstown, Massachusetts, October 10,1811.He moved to Lexington, Missouri, in 1840, wherehe engaged in various types of business like realestate. In 1880, Wentworth adopted the school asa memorial to his dead son and found a Board ofTrustees for it by 1881. At this time the schoolbecame Wentworth Male Academy. This is a portrait of Stephen G. Wentworth, located in the AdministrationBuilding on campus. In the fall term of 1881-1882 an important event happened; Wentworth became military. It started with a student who was a member of the Lexington Guards' arminga group of lads and teaching them military aspects, likemarching and the manual of arms. Principal Sellers sawthis and liked the idea so he presented it to Wentworth, who also liked the idea. On April 11, 1882, Wentworthpassed the idea through the Board of Trustees, and theyapproved it. On January 20,1890, Wentworth Male Academy became Wentworth Military Academy. Stephen G.Wentworth passed away on July 3, 1897, leaving lots ofphysical proof of his support of WMA.C/1SG Trey Clemons admires Wentworth's portrait.

FINAL THOUGHTSDear Bad Boys,I have come to the conclusion that we were destined to be together, we were perfect foreach other. They had to put the best CO with the best company. Although we had our achesand pains, everyday I woke up happier and happier to be a part of Bravo. Together weaccomplished everything and stunned the corps. You have made me proud, but moreimportantly you have madeyourselves proud. Rememberthat you as individuals define whoyou are so make a good definition. There are no hurdles you cannot overcome and no mountains you cannot climb. Live without limitations and most importantly the word, "can't," doesnot exist. You can and you will, just as we have proven in the past semester. We will alwaysbe a family. Do not forget your brothers. Do not forget the good times and the bad timessuch as the Super Bowl party and the arrests of Chris Finkey and Ryan Thompson. No matter what anyone says, you were and always will be the best. All you have to do is believe itjust as I do. Bad Boys Till We Die,C/Captain Ah FisherCompany CommanderC/CPT Ah FisherCommanding OfficerBravo CompanyNever forget "The Law." The law, this is the house of pain. Are we not men? No we're notmen. We are beast, and youth. Alpha, Echo, Tango, HQ, Foxtrot, and Staff; you have madeus beast. We will not walk, we will not talk, we will only gather in the night, and dress-rightdress, ready front. As a last resort, we will use cold steel, a jab between the second and thirdrib. Twist, twist, pull, pull, aaaah.Dear Bad Boys,As one of the Bravo Company first sergeants, I don't think any company could have mademy job easier. Before we joined together, you were thought of as failures but from the beginning to the end, you gentlemen gave me 100% of your efforts and that's all I ever asked for.The changes you went through, as a company, were tremendous. From different cadreevery month, to watching your brothers leave, you overcame it all and proved yourselves tobe the best. The time we were together, we were unstoppable. From the beginning ofsemester, it became our goal to be the best, and we were. Once we were on a roll, therewere no other companies, definitely not Echo. Men, it was an honor working with you, andI am proud to say I am a "BAD BOY" (Dawg at heart). I leave these last words with you, "nomatter what it is, in life, if you want something, go for it 110%.
