Introducing WakeMed Children’sRehab – a new unit just for kids, located in the WakeMed Children’sHospital on the Raleigh Campus.ABOUT THE UNITThis kid-friendly inpatient rehab unit includes five private rooms and apediatric rehab gym. Children and adolescents receive the medical carethey need to restore their health and the physical, occupational andspeech therapy they need to return to life! Plus, kids and parents haveaccess to all the unique pediatric support services and spaces in theChildren’s Hospital. Ronald McDonald House services Teen Room Children’s Playroom Nourishment AreaThe Ronald McDonald House at WakeMed offers a comfortable place tostay in the hospital and a support system for families facing difficultmedical situations. In addition, a Ronald McDonald Family Room islocated right in the Children’s Hospital. Child lifespecialists help children and families cope with hospitalization, oftenrelated to catastrophic illness or injury.
