Cases involved fatal shootings, non-fatal shootings and improper arrests.Personally defended 11 cases to conclusion in state and federal court in New Mexico.Albuquerque, NM.2005-2006Authorized prosecution of U.S. v. New Eme case. Death penalty case involving gangmembers from Arizona who killed witness in New Mexico. Defendants pled to lifeimprisonment without possibility of parole and a 20 year sentence. Albuquerque, NM2005-2006Authorized prosecution of two State of New Mexico treasurers for extortion.U.S. v. Michael Montoya and Robert Vigil. Both convicted.2012Team leader in U.S. v. Noor Uthman Mohammed. Military commissions trial and guiltyplea before members at Naval Station Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Led joint force JAGand paralegal team. Defendant pled guilty, served approximately 32 monthsimprisonment and was released to his home in Sudan. Only one of approximately 7completed military commissions cases.
