Try to getstudents to guess the following word:Harry Potter.!WarmerOnce students know what the topic of theThis stage of the lesson is5-10lesson is, ask them if they have read anyto interest students in theminutes of the books and whether they know anytopic and activate schema.of the characters from the stories. Boardup any language which emerges.!Another way to start the topic is to playthe theme music from the film HarryPotter and students have to guess thetheme of the day.Ask students if they know any HarryPotter books and whether they can namethe books in English. Put any of these ofthe names on the whiteboard.!Book Title &CoverMatchingTell students that they are going to seedifferent front covers of the Harry Potterbooks and their titles have been removed.10-15They must work together to decide whichminutestitles match with the front covers.
